I never thought I would ask this here, but I have a paper due soon in which I have to discuss a work of fiction that addresses a particular social institution. The only book I can think of at the moment Pride and Prejudice which discusses marriage.
I need some other books, so EC, what are some books that address a particular social institution?

1984. Specifically when Winston says "do it to Julia". Just one idea.

Also, does it have to be a book or is any work of fiction fine?

It just says a work of fiction, but a book would most likely be preferred since they are more in depth.
