hi I was wondering what are the different types of chokers? what kind do you wear or like?

I got one of those adjustable thin velvet chokers from eBay and tried it a couple of times, but it's not very comfortable, maybe cuz it's just one thin strip of black velvet with the chain/clasps on each end..... but so I've been wondering about other styles that may be more comfortable to wear.

I've heard of the 90s tattoo choker, I believe you can just stretch it over your head and it feels fine..? I like that concept, just not so much the look of it -- I tend to like a thicker choker than the skinny types.

one more thing -- what kind of chokers do women wear these days (in a dark/gothic sense) that would be considered "casual" or lol "normal" to wear out in public? I dont want to go out wearing something a bit extreme like spike collars or those super elegant ones with lots of chains... just something simple but still considered emo or goth (and is comfortable + easy to put on/off)?

I don't think you can label a necklace as "emo" or "Goth."

I think you would be better off making your own choker from natural hemp or tanned leather. Hemp feels more comfortable, but it needs to be cleaned once in a while.
