Is skinnyness a part of the emo style? Would you have to become anorexic or borderline anorexic to fit the description? Woudl you consider a chubby person less emo than a skinny person (if you absolutely had to choose between them)?

I think that emo, some parts of indie, the whole scene thing... are subcultures that value high fashion and the metrosexual look, would attract or encourage the skinny model look. But just like larger people as models (like Cecilia from Suicide Girls: http://preview.tinyurl.com/69afy7 ), there is room for all sizes in "emo".

Thank god. I like being indie....and I went up a bra size this year! smile.gif

My boobs are small.

They balance out my body, which, is built in a way, that even though I can't get enough air in my lungs sometimes (In the water), My ribcage looks ridiculously big. I am pretty "chubby", which I loathe with a firey passion. I think; I am not even overweight.

I'm slim (32 inch waist, 12 stone, 6ft 3) but not skinny so you can see my ribs anymore like when I was 15.

Only fat bits on me are the tops of my legs and belly, slight beer belly. angry.gif Want to try get rid of the fat on those parts, as they ain't firm anymore.

um so your saying that all girls are gods (i don't know what goddes is I don't no if it's a spelling mistake ), cause I've met plenty of bitchy girls and not so many nice ones.

sums it up. you never HAVE to be skinny. people just get them there eating disorders when they become obsessed with self image. and emo is a subculture very obsessed.

by the way, Cecilia.. she's really beautiful. i love suicide girls.

I don't think you *have* to be anything to be "emo"...it's just another stereotypical label.
Sure, some people classify me as emo, and yeah I've gone through eating disorders in the past (I still go through them) but I don't think that makes me any more or less of anything.
