Hi All. We have a lot of good poets on the forum, but not much structure to really highlight and showcase good poetry. This board needs a dedicated Poetry Forum moderator. Duties are:
- help run monthly poem contests
- help emphasize good poems
- help bad poets get constructive criticism
I am looking for somebody with these qualifications:
- a veteran and dedicated member of the forum
- must understand and appreciate poetry
- wants to help EC be a better place
Perks
- well-deserved ego boost
- small gift packaging wrapped thank you gift
Please nominate yourself or encourage others to nominate themselves.

I nominate myself.
My reason for this nomination is that when I read a poem and comment, I actually give comments based on how it could be improved and highlighting the parts of the poem that were enjoyable. Rather than just saying how the poem was great when it wasn't. There is a noticable lack of constructive criticism. I also don't bear a grudge against any members of the forum and treat each and every member the same.
(btw is it possible to unpin topics? If so, maybe we could have a poetry showcase subforum of the poetry forum. One or two poems nominated each week by the members which are then placed within the poetry showcase area. So for instance it would be Darkest Tower- Poetry showcase week beginning 4/08/08-)

I would nominate myself, for I love writing and such, not too mention that I enjoy giving a little advice, however Josh has much more seniority than I have. Also, I don't think i would get many votes.

I hereby amend my former statement. I nominate myself. I am a very active poster and have a love of poetry. I am also good at helping people whist not sounding like "I am the Chuck Norris of poetry, bow to my glory". I have many other reasons, however these are the ones for the time. Granted I do not expect to win, but I am going to try.

haha. that's not much, in my opinon. I've been here, for a little over than a month, and I have 1600 plus post. so compare to you, yeah, not much. I would nominate myself, but school is starting for me, on monday, and I am expected to get perfect grades. that is hard for a procrasinator. and I'm lazy, so yeah. and I dont understand still how that is a lot. would you mind explaining?

I live a very active life. But this should not be about the number of posts one has, it should be quality not quantity.

I'd nnminate myself, but I've left my constructive criticism alone a while back by accident.
So i'll go with I nominate Poefan.
