Eulogy for a Love Song
Days are dreary nights are cold,
reach out for something left to hold,
stained glass windows pure and pale,
devoid of feeling as I exhale.
The silent line no longer hurts,
since daylight grayed a final verse,
to speak to tell to sing aloud,
beyond the memories never found.
A final breath before the plunge,
we open up our hearts and lungs,
while flowing ever gracefully,
beyond the desert to the sea.
I slowly sink beneath the waves,
take comfort in a watery grave,
and warming smiles that I have found,
lay broken here beneath the ground.
"Are you happy being alive?"
"Did I ever exist at all?"

Thanks RAEZOR most of my poems have a connection with my own life in some way so they tend to be pretty emotional but thanks for the comment most people think i'm shallow so it's good you say that

I love it.
You can tell something is good if you see a story behind every word.
