But can't you have that same feeling without entering into a legally binding situation?

@ youxdontxneedxhim ;; The calories thing made me laugh.

@ Rellik ;; Yeah, I don't see why documentation makes sex any more special or fulfilling.

Annndd, I haven't had it. Just thought of it. Read about it. I'd rather not be in a relationship atm, but most people will know when they're ready.

there's some of us that have had sex before and some who haven't
for those of us who haven't, i think some of us would
want reasons why we shouldn't or if we should
i know i do

I think we should get a little more specific.

currently, most of your answers will boil down to

QUOTE
Should: It feels good
Shouldn't: You could die.

I'll go ahead and add a when to the question.

WHEN should I have sex: When you have carefully thought it through, discussed it with your partner (ooh! I also recommend discussing it with parents or someone older who you feel is responsible if possible), and are ready to face the consequences. Sex can produce STDs, children, and (the one noone ever talks about), emotions. Be sure you have taken the precautions, know the risks and have properly prepared yourself. Make sure your partner has as well. If you're still in High School, you have even more stuff to consider, including education, your changing hormones and body, and the possibility that this could just be hormonal puppy love (which isn't always the greatest to base a relationship on). This list goes on.

WHEN shouldn't I have sex: When you find that something you have considered isn't right, when you have considered enough to make a good decision. Basically, you find something wrong with that list I made ^

I think the appeal is in the wait. My sister waited till the wedding to kiss (anyone), and it did feel special. Shit, we all got to see her first kiss. However, I think the appeal is in the satisfaction after the wait, just like when you wait on eating till you're really hungry. In truth, you could achieve this feeling by other means. Any appeal that is not in the wait is socially constructed. The concept of marriage is shoved down our throats constantly. We're raised believing that we must get married, we are told OF COURSE we'll find someone, blah blah blah.

Thing is, this hype is misdirected as well. They hype you usually concerning the WEDDING and not the MARRIAGE.

You guys are free to live as you want, my sister's kissing thing worked great for her, but as for me...

Life is short. I want to spend as much time with Scott as I can. I want to do everything with him.
I'm looking forward to the marriage more than the wedding. Seriously. smile.gif

Why you should?
You may find the right person and that's the best way to be closer to them

Why you shouldn't?
That person may not be "the one"
People have cooties called STDs
Pregnancy(not a big deal compared to the cooties)

Sex. oohhh boy here we go.

I think sex is definitely a good thing, and should be done. Yes there are negatives. That person may not be the one? tough shit, lifes tough, please move along. STD? dont be an idiot, use a condom. Pregnancy? condom once again.

Should - It can be a way to bond with your partner in a stronger sense; it is, as far as I am aware as I have only ever done blowjobs and not full sex, a beautiful and wonderful experience. Its a sorta right of passage if you will. It can make you feel better bout yourself, then again it can do the opposite so be careful on that one.
