Heterosexuals are just as important here as GLBT. Tell me, what kind of issues do YOU face? What topics do YOU want to see here?
I think we should have posts about mode of dress. I know some of you are picked on for how you dress. Gender norms should be discussed.
What else? Talk to me kids!

I gotta say it, I fully endorse this topic. So many of these gender and sexuality topics are for non-straight people or at least talk about them, and they need a look in too!
Now...From the point I see it, and It's an outside perspective being a relatively out homosexual, But there is a lot of stigma among the straight community as to what form of dress you use, and the way you act. I'm going to use my school as an example.
The vast majority are straight. I can guarantee you that, and I can almost guarantee that I am friends with most of the non-straight (the majority being bisexual). If you look at all of them carefully, none of them conform to "standard" dress and manner stereotypes. Almost all of them are of emo/goth/punk w/e grouping. Where as the vast majority are either the Chav or the Prep groups.
This almost seems to me that when someone is of another subculture than the chav/prep/popular groups, the chav etc. seem to take extra note in them, and often assume their sexuality is different. The amount of gay abuse i hear toward emo/goth/punk and even the kids that dont actually fit into a stereotype (I applaud you) is immense!

I'm not sure I understand.
You should always dress how YOU want. I don't think it should ever be a forced expression of gender or sexuality. I wear skirts and have purple hair. I'm not trying to say anything, skirts are just more comfortable and I like purple.
You should act how you want to act. If you want to walk with a bouncing motion, do it! If you want to laugh loudly, DO IT! If you want to be guiet and introspective, FUCKING DO IT!
Maybe I didn't understand what you were saying. You want to elaborate?
