Have any of you studied abroad? If so, how was your experience? Where would you like to go to study?
I went to study in Massachusetts last year I think, and studied in Milan, Italy a few years back. It was really fun and I'd like to go back some time perhaps for my residency. France would be nice to study too, like that I could improve my French.

I grew up in different countries and hence 'studied' abroad, though not in a university sense; all have good or bad points. I'd love to have a placement year in university. I love travelling and experiencing different cultures etc.

I have gone abroad on four different occasions for my studies:
-The first half of a year in high school (September until January) I studied in Antwerp, Belgium.
-The second half of my last year in high school (February until June) I studied in Valence, France.
-A few years ago, I did a three-month exchange programme (March until June) in Letterkenny, Ireland.
-At the moment, I am in Antwerp again on a special programme to do my psychology internship here from September until June.
I have nothing but good memories of all four times.
I would love to continue my studies after I've fully graduated this year, preferably somewhere else than in my hometown of Erfurt, although I do love that city. I would even love to study somewhere else in Germany: Dresden, Munich, Konstanz, Mannheim... I'd also love to study in France again, for instance in Montpellier or Strasbourg. Or in Italy or perhaps even Russia. It would be a perfect combination of new environment, new experiences, new people, new language (sometimes)...

I don't count having all my education here abroad.
I'd love to go to the UK for my University education, but apart from that...I really do not know.

Sadly, I never got the chance. I would of loved doing so.....considering my University always offers pretty decent places if you want to study abroad. Problem is the University doesn't pick up any of the costs, and you have to pay out of your pocket.

I went to Japan for a few weeks. It wasn't serious though. I am still thinking on what I actually want to do and will probably go abroad soon.

.... /Jealousy.
I've toyed with doing The JET Programme after university as I'm relatively interested in teaching. Though, it's not technically studying as teaching. Even so, I'd go for just the experience.

It was pretty epic. I've thought about the Jet program and others like it but I am more inclined to Korea for the moment. I'd like to study and teach there.

I'll bet it was. /Que stream of questions:
How/why were you there, as in what process?
Where were you in Japan?
What level were you studying at - what did you study?
Best part/worst part?
..... I should stop..
I'd love the chance to go to Japan, do you know of any good exchangers like JET?
I do like Korea, but not as much as Japan. [Which should be strikingly obvious by my signature.]
