Brief plot so far:
Eleven years ago:
An organization called the ICC had been hiding the existence of the ones with powers, known as 'Abnormals', for as long as anyone could remember. They killed any who tried to oppose them, and captured others, keeping them in labs to experiment on them. A group of Abnormals led by an Abnormal named Jasper finally decided they had had enough, and made their way to the ICC's main headquarters in Russia, to declare war. And, after winning the battle, the Abnormals became free...Or so they thought.

Nine years ago:
During the two years after the battle had been won, groups of Abnormal extremists formed, deciding they wanted power over the Normals, and other Abnormals. Most of these groups were harmless and disorganized, but one managed to gain the assistance of what remained of the ICC, and a group of Abnormals called Pandemic. They created an army of controlled Abnormals, and an Abnormal, called Thomas, who was even more powerful than Jasper had been. And they aimed to wipe out all competition, and civilian Normals. What was left of the group who had been previously working for Jasper, the ones who hadn't gone off to create their own groups, and some of their new friends were forced to fight again. And, once again, they won.

Four years ago:
Several groups of Abnormals received a letter inviting them to a hotel in Rio de Janeiro, signed anonymously. However, it turned out that the invitation, signed only by a paw print, was a trap. As the most powerful Abnormals were called to Brasil, Evolved animals, animals with additional intelligence and
abilities, were waging a war worldwide. As the Abnormals fought their battle, and lost, the UN, for once working together, surrendered, agreeing to the Jaguar's terms. The Jaguar was the one who had summoned them, and he was the one who seperated the few surviving Abnormals, making sure they couldn't start a resistance.

The laws that Jaguar lay down:
1. All artillery, bombs and other weapons apart from sharp objects must be handed in to be destroyed.
2. All research, of any kind, must stop.
3. No more usage of the earth's resources, so electricity, and all varieties of fossil fuels must stop being used.
4. Because of this, running water will be stopped.
5. All forms must be grounded, not to be used again, apart from ships, which aren't allowed to dock in the harbour.
6. Operations, transplants, and drug use will be stopped, shutting down the use of hospitals.
7. All business will be done through trade or theft. There is no use for currency. 
8. Anything edible is food. That includes humans. Likewise, humans can hunt animals or eachother, as long as they do not use guns, or anything mechanical like that.
9. Factories must be shut down, because they are useless without electricity.
10. Rebels must stay seperated or be killed.


NOW:
There are only 1 billion people left on Earth. Cities might as well be villages, villages are nonexistant, and the wilderness is claiming back the planet. Due to the heavy laws Desgraca put down, Humanity will be Extinct within the year. Normals are beginning to develop powers strangely. A resistance has been forming for the last four years, using a network of Telepaths to communicate. They're staying low for now, hoping for a breakthrough, anything, to give them a chance to take down the horrible animal reign and bring back one where Humans continue to survive, but live in peace with the animals.
There's only a tiny bit of hope, and that hope rests inside a chunk of Fluorite that only a few people know the existance of.

Name: Vance and Dimitri Malakai

Appearance:

Race: Abnormal

Power: Phasing/Intangebility/Plane-Shifting. - they can become ethereal, able to pass through things, and have things passed through them. Anything they are touching when they
phase, phases with them. When phased, they feel no temperature - however, any feelings like pain, hunger, thirst, etc., still remain.
Other animals or people able to phase can touch them as normal if all parties are phasing.

Brief history: After surfacing from a lifetime or secrecy about their power following the defeat of the ICC at the hands of Jasper, they began working covertly and independantly against the extremist abnormal groups and the remains of the ICC. They fell off the radar shortly after, and only reappeared at the hotel, taking the invitation and once again coming out of hiding on a passing whim. They now trek across the globe, hoping to find the closest people to friends they have.

Name: Justin Grimm

Age: 21

Appearance:

Race: Abnormal

Power: Teleportation

Brief history: Having ignored the dodgy invite, Justin had jumped to Rio for a holiday and to enjoy the carnivale. However, he was little prepared for the horror that awaited him; the Rio Massacre. After surviving through incredible odds thanks to quick thinking and clever jumping, he joined the last stand against the Evolved and Desgraca along with the others, and was, like them, ultimately defeated and seperated from the first people in his life he ever connected to, especially one young boy from another world. His loneliness and depression has only been compounded, and only his promise to Cal prevents him from taking his life daily.

Other: He is losing control over his power, finding it harder to jump when and where he wants, and finding himself jumping when he doesn't want to. He doesn't know why, but theorises that 'It's me 'eart doin' t'jumpin; not me 'ead.', and that his random jumping is due to an emotional desire for Cal.

Name: Yuui.
Age: 29.
Appearance: (He usually looks really happy...But I love that picture. XD)
Race: Abnormal.
Power: Telekinesis. Advanced healing. (Jasper's power.)
Brief history: When Yuui was five, his twin brother Fay was killed by the ICC, and Yuui changed his name to Fai, pretending he had been the one who died. Before the battle eleven years ago, Yuui carried the spirit of his brother, which allowed his powers to stay in control. After his brother's spirit left, he vowed never to use his powers again, fearing someone he cared about would get hurt. During the battle, while trying to protect Vivian, he lost his eye, and his injuries made him unable to continue fighting.
During the two years between the first two battles, he refused to use his powers, at all. Kurogane taught him to fight like a Normal, making him much stronger than he had been before. However, he was almost killed by an Abnormal named Jessie, and Vivian transferred Jasper's powers to him, losing her life in the process, and making Yuui unable to survive without drinking Kurogane's blood. (He's NOT a vampire...It's just the way it had to be. XD) With the added support of Jasper's power, Yuui became able to control his own powers again. During the battle, Tim was killed, and his power was to control spirits, one of which had been Fay. As he died, he used the energy released to reattach Fay's spirit to his body. After that, 'Fai' went back to being Yuui.
After the battle in Brazil, he took Fay's betrayal hard, and convinced himself that whatever Fay had told Desgraca, must have been some information forced out of him. And, his determination to meet up with the others again, including Fay never fades.

Name: Kurogane.
Age: 34.
Appearance:
Race: Abnormal.
Power: Teleportation. Lightning arm/sword.
Brief history: Kurogane joined the battle, eleven years ago, only caring about how the outcome would affect all the Abnormals as a whole. The only individual he was even close to caring about was Jasper, who had rescued him when he was fourteen. He was loyal to both Jasper and Vivian, and was even referred to as Jasper's best teleporter. However, during the battle, he realized that he also cared for Yuui. And, during the fight that almost ended both Yuui and Vivian's lives, he chopped off his own arm to save them, when he could have teleported himself to safety.
During the next two years, although still cold and intimidating at times, he showed his more caring side, teaching Yuui to fight, and accepting his marriage proposal. After the battle, he became furious when they were the ones accused, and swore he would not involve himself in any more battles, not for: "That bunch of ungrateful idiots." Instead, he focused his entire existence on his family, and, a few months before the invitation to Brazil, the family became 'complete' with the addition of their adopted son Timmy.
During the battle with the animals in Brazil, he lost his metal arm, and the nerves in his shoulder were damaged. After months of practice, he managed to create an arm of electricity in its place, like the lightning sword ability.

History (Yuui and Kurogane): For five years, the family lived a normal life, until the letter arrived, and they set off to Brazil, hoping to meet up with their friends, who had been separated from them. They had suspected that it might be a trap, but had no idea exactly what was in store for them, and once the battle was lost, to make things worse, they were separated not only from the others, but from Yuui's twin brother Fay, as well.

Name: Fay.
Age: Appears 14. (Really 29.)
Appearance: (X3 Only...he looks a little older now. I couldn't find another picture.)
Race: Abnormal.
Power: Telekinesis.
Brief history: Fay was killed at the age of five, when the ICC attacked him, his brother Yuui, and their cousin Kammy. Both his power, and his body were absorbed by Yuui, and remained there until just before the battle eleven years ago, when Tim called all the spirits to help him fight. Fay left Yuui, and fought alongside Tim, ever since. Until the battle nine years ago, when Tim died. Fay's body returned in place of his spirit, as all the spirits 'moved on'. Tim's spirit was the last to do so, and, using the energy that was released when he died, he reattached Fay's spirit to his body, bringing him back to life.
In Brazil, Fay, Liam and Timmy were kidnapped by the animals, and Fay began to agree with their views, and wondered whether it would be such a bad thing if the animals took over. He decided to side with Desgraca. Later, when he and Jessie discovered the location of the Fluorite, he told Jessie to keep it a secret from the others, because if they destroyed it, Yuui would lose Jasper's power and die. And, it wasn't as though humanity needed to be in charge. So, he told Desgraca about the Fluorite, and to keep it protected, effectively betraying the humans.
He lost his ability to walk during the battle.

Name: Timmy.
Age: 5.

Power: Shadow manipulation.
(I don't really think he needs a history because he was like...one in the last one, and didn't do much apart from get kidnapped and make friends with a bonobo.)

Brief History: He and his mother helped the humans on two occasions, but returned to the animals to avoid being killed. A year after Desgraca took over, Suta and his mother became separated. He has vowed never to harm any members of the group of humans who helped him.

Name: Zetsumei.
Age: 16.
Appearance:
Race: Evolved. Gorilla.
Power: Advanced intelligence/strength. Can create barriers.
(He doesn't really need a history either, because he was only in the last one five minutes.)

History: When Jessie was very young, he was traumatized by the death of his mother, older brother, and little sister.
those deaths being caused by him by accident. He was orphaned, his father not being around. went on to commit a series of brutal, and sadistic murders..Along with other acts of unspeakable evil to others, taking a sadistic pleasure from others suffering, and the very act of taking a life, He used his power of illusion to capture, aswell as torcher his victoms.. He has been in, and out of mental hospitals, and has been in prison a number of times.Always managing to escape one way or another, with the aid of his power..He was mental, and not very clever..But had times of extraordinary clarity, and intelligence..only every once in a while, ..besides those times..he was immature, cruel, and sick.
He had no contact with the ICC, and was outside the war entirely, up until the point he met, by coincidence Yuui, kurogane, grace, ect.
He became fixated on yuui in particular, and tried to murder him several times, and after the failed attempts, was captured by the group, and reigned in as a recrute to fight in the final battle.. while he was with these people, he developed an attachment to them, and under their dicipline, and care..went soft, and threw himself into the buisness of devotion, and protection for them.
In the final battle he was injured, and fell into a coma for 5 years(not my idea -w- coma pft), and when he woke up, he fallowed them to Brazil on his own, met up with them, continuing to fight for their survival no matter what, them being what he called his family.
He became very close to Yuuis brother Fay, and they both discovered the flourite underground which could end the whole war.
Fay decided to tell the mutated animals about it, to save Yuuis life, and after that they were split up into groups.
And fay was put with Jessie.

Name: Grace Tempest
Age: 24
Power:The ability to control the weather and can heal surface injuries with salt water.
Appearance:
With turquoise eyes, like the colour of the sea.
Personality: Determined. She cares a lot about the people in her life, and those torn from it, and she is determined to be reunited with them. She strongly opposes the animal reign.
Race: Abnormal
history: Up until the age of 6, she'd been a girl on the Cursed Coin. After that, she was a prisoner of the ICC till she was twelve. Her brother was taken control of by the drugs injected into him, and was forced to fight her in RussiaAfter the battle in Russia she was found by social services, and not knowing her abilities, they placed her in a foster home system. She is in her third foster home now, and they adopted her when she was fifteen. Grace was adopted after Pandemic decided to destroy a city, and she helped fight them off, using her advanced abilities, a bit too much, ending up exhausted far too early. Jack returned into her life, but she only forgave him properly minutes before he died. A minute after he died, her vocal chords were removed, so she became mute. After the battle, she was given a fake voice box, which was placed in her throat. After being expelled unfairly from two schools, she was sent to a military school.
Having met up with everyone in Rio, and surviving the Rio Massacre, somehow, she was ported with Adam and Liam back to a town which she recognised: This was the town where Jack's apartment had been, and where the ICC complex where she'd been held was. As soon as she was able to, Grace threw herself into her training with Liam, Adam almost always refusing to take part. Grace dedicated the vast majority of her time to her training, and, when a telepath arrived in the town, she formed bonds with the resistance, feeding them what information she knew, and searching for the others using the Telepath Network.
Other: For all intents and purposes she's married to Adam. Now, she has yet another reason to fight, but it's currently a secret.

Name: Adam Hope
Age: 25
Power: Ability to talk to snakes and to move at the speed of sound.
Appearance:
Personality: A very caring person, but his trust is hard to gain. He's a natural pacifist, and a nature geek, but he doesn't support the Animal reign either, though he refuses to partake in the resistance.
Race: Abnormals
History: He spent his entire life in the same town, in the same place, and to be honest, hated it. No one apart from himself and his pet snake, Amethyst, knew his powers, until the battle against Pandemic. After that, he continued a normal life for as much as possible.
After the Rio Massacre, Adam stayed with Grace. He couldn't see a chance of the resistance succeeding, and his personal opinion was that Grace was being too hopeful, but he knew that her training and determination was the only way Grace was keeping hold of any hope. And so he supported her.


Name: Liam Tempest
Age: 15
Power: His eyes turn amber and a blow torch seems to emitt from them.
Appearance: With the same, bright turquoise eyes as his sister.
Race: Abnormal
Brief history: A pirate to the age of six, ported away. He helped his half sister, Grace, fight the Abnormals. However, he broke his leg trying to save his mum (Grace's aunt) and was returned to HQ. From the gang of pirates who helped, he was the only survivor. Afterwards, he was adopted by Grace's foster family.
After the unfortunate holiday to Rio, Liam became determined to became as adept at sword fighting as Grace. He too wanted to bring the animals down. But, Liam's plan was to find Fay, and explain to him that he'd forgiven him, no matter what, and that deep down, Grace had too.

Name: Desgraca
Age: Unknown, estimated around 16.
Power: High intelligence, the ability to change size, as well as a high ability to persuade. (Not really a power, but still)
Race: Jaguar
Appearance: But more intimidating.
Personality: Highly intelligent and political. Determined to make humans and animals equal, though his method is killing off the human race. However, Desgraca does not tolerate traitors.

Name: The Panther
Age: Probably around 12.
Power: The ability to absorb other people's powers, though if he doesn't stay in contact with those people for extensive periods of time, he 'forgets' how to use them
Race: Panther
Appearance:
Personality: Not very bright. He's basically Desgraca's thug.

Grace ducked, before swinging her leg towards his head, which he dodged. He punched at her face, kocking Grace backwards, but, despite the blood dribbling down her nose, she quickly retaliated, kicking him in the gut, forcing him to double over, clutching his stomach. Grace tackled him, before wrapping her fingers round his neck. "Dead." She whispered to Liam, before moving quickly to heal the injuries she'd inflicted on him, before healing herself. "You have to learn not to expect a recovery time. Even if you cut off my arm, you might not get the chance for a breather. If you hadn't let your guard down for that split second, just then, you'd have probably won." Liam rolled his eyes. She always picked on that, but, he never did let down his guard. She was just really fast in retaliation.
Adam handed the two fighters their water, rolling his eyes at Grace. "What?"
"You really should stop fighting as much, you need your energy."
"It's not that bad."
That's not what you said this morning." Grace rolled her eyes, before kissing Adam gently on the lips.
"Don't worry about it, silly. I'll be fine."
Adam had been about to reply when they heard a scream. Grace spun around, and her eyes widened as she saw a thirty year old woman being chased by a pack of wolves. Liam looked at Grace. "Help her." But Grace just shook her head at the low voice.
"I can't. If I hit any of the wolves with lightning, she'll be killed too." The three were forced to watch as the woman was pounced on by the leading wolf, Quickly but messily killing her. Grace's fists clenched and a cloud formed overhead as the wolves began feasting. Adam's hand tightened on her shoulder, urging her not to do it, but Grace did it anyway.
Three bolts of lightning killed the wolves, Before Grace spun around to face Liam. "Again. Keep concentrating!"

{X3 The animal characters are soooooo cute. And Adam is Fuuma! Oh, and that telepath. Can it be Cody? I can't decide who to put him with. XD}

Even last week, there were a few humans occasionally walking through here...Fay thought as he sat by the stream, crushing together the plants needed to make the pain easing medicine he created to put over the wounds of both humans and animals...if they let him. He was only a few feet away from the rusty old wheelchair he and Jessie had managed to find in the abandoned village beyond the forest. It had been so badly damaged by some animal that one of the big wheels was bent inwardly, but it didn't matter. It wouldn't move in any direction his powers didn't want it to, and thanks to telekinesis, he was able to get through the uneven forest with ease, and without Jessie's help. Having to use his powers so much did get tiring, though.
Right now, it wasn't the tiredness that worried him, it was the haunting lack of human presence. For days now, he hadn't seen anyone but Jessie, and the various animals that inhabited the forest. Of course...that didn't necessarily mean something bad had happened to everyone. After all, this wasn't the most popular spot before Desgraca took over. People had probably fled to what was left of cities, to cling onto the last remnants of 'civilization'. That had to be it. Humanity couldn't be dying out...because that would mean...It's my fault, he thought grimly, lifting a small fox with an injured leg from the ground beside him, and gently rubbing the medicine into the already cleaned wound. He sighed, and forced a smile when the pup licked his hand as he wrapped a handmade bandage around its leg.
"You should come and rest at the house until it's healed properly," he offered in a quiet, concerned voice. The pup's mother had been killed by a man who had gone crazy, and started killing any animal he saw, just over a week ago. Since then, Fay came back every day to feed the pup any left overs from his and Jessie's meals...Of course, they also had to kill animals for food, and defense. But Fay had killed that man with no hesitation. The way he had been killing was unforgivable. Now the pup was injured, he saw no reason not to bring it back to the house so it didn't end up getting killed.
But the pup just shook his head and began to limp away the second Fay lowered him to the ground. "You shouldn't stay there either," it warned, without looking back, and sounding just as concerned.
That confirmed it, Fay thought as he pulled his way back to the chair, and climbed into it, turning back towards the house. Humanity was being wiped out.

"Hm...You're all stubbly again," Yuui teased, rubbing Kurogane's chin, as they sat half hidden in the plants that were growing on what remained of the Statue of Liberty. This high up, they could see a lot of what was going on in the city below, and sleep without having to worry too much about being eaten.
Kurogane rolled his eyes, and held Yuui's hand in place, almost amused at the fact that Yuui still found time to keep the shadow of hair forming on his own, angelic face. Before he could reply, however, a small voice called out from deeper inside the plants, and Timmy's face appeared between the branches and leaves.
"I'm hungry," he muttered sleepily, rubbing his eyes.
That's what they had been waiting for. And both Yuui and Kurogane stood up at the same time.
Yuui pretended to look upset. "Uwah, let me go this time~!" he whined, his expression changing to his sweetest smile.
Timmy giggled, knowing Kurogane wouldn't be able to say no to that. But, he also knew neither wanted the other to go running off into danger on their own. It was unavoidable, he guessed...Well, it was really all he knew. "I want to go, too!" he insisted, mimicking Yuui's sweet smile. "Pleeeeeeeeeeeease Tou-san~!"
Kurogane put his hand to his forehead, but teleported the three of them to a deserted alley. The thick moss muffled their steps as they silently made their way to the end. Even Timmy knew what to look for; an animal who would be a quick and easy target. Luckily for them, there weren't many humans in this area, so there wasn't that problem, as well. A lot of people in the city had turned to cannibalism, to 'get rid of the competition', or to 'gain the animal's respect'. Either way, they were just as troublesome as the animals.

Adam watched wearily as Grace and Liam fought, Grace using a blade, Liam without. At first, they'd fought with sticks, but Grace moved them onto the blades quickly enough. Once she'd felt Liam was adept enough at that, she'd started Conditional Training. Sometimes, they'd both fight without weapons, sometimes, Grace would have one and Liam wouldn't. But Adam could tell Liam was progressing to the stage where he'd match Grace in that, too. That was what worried Adam. Grace had been considering different environments. Collapsing buildings was an option; this town only had twenty people left alive, and the buildings were hardly stable, having been destroyed by various animal attacks. Another option was weather conditions. Grace could make it pouring, and that would change the fighting style immensely. The one Grace had only mentioned once, the one Adam worried about most, was a fire. Grace was fairly confident she could make sure that it wouldn't spread to the rest of the town. But, Adam despised that idea. He still had haunting memories of the fire in Rio, and a scar that streaked from his chest to his hip to prove it. Fire was impossible to control, even for Liam. That could cost the two their lives. Which is why Adam vehemently argued against it the one time Grace had mentioned it.
Suddenly Adam's eyes were drawn back to the fight as it stopped. Liam had his hands positioned so Grace would snap her spine if she moved, and her right hand was threatening Liam's throat. After a second, the two relaxed, and Adam saw the extent of their injuries. Grace had a dislocated shoulder blade, and Liam's lip had swollen, as his eye began to turn blue. Grace popped her shoulder back in place, wincing as she healed the injury, before drawing her attention to Liam.
"That's enough for today, Grace." Adam said as he walked over. Grace sighed, her eyes set with determination. Before she could even begin to protest, Adam interrupted. "The pair of you will exhaust eachother, and we've barely hit midday. Get some rest. I'll go get something to eat."
Grace didn't protest, instead, she looked at Adam levelly and said "While you do that, I'm going to him." Of course, there were spies everywhere, so Grace didn't mention the local telepath. Adam sighed as she headed of, before vanishing into the forest.

Liam looked at Grace's retreating figure. "What about me?" He called, half joking. Grace just waved him off. Grumbling, he suddenly heard a tiny scream from one of the other houses.
He slammed the door open to find a fox and her cubs feasting on the carcass of a mother, while one of the cubs toyed with a six year old. The little girl was weeping and she received tiny scratches to her arms and legs. Acting instantly, Liam snatched one of the other cubs up. His eyes glowed amber. "Let her go, and I'll let him go. Those laws are there for equality, not for your children to torture ours." The fox hissed an instruction to the cub torturing the little girl, who stopped scratching instantly. Liam lowered the cub and picked up the little five year old. She was bleeding heavily. Liam's eyes continued to glow as he backed away, and left the house. He ran a short distance, but knew the family wouldn't follow. That left only twenty two survivors in this town. Much lower and everyone would have to move. Their numbers were the only safety against packs of animals that were organised enough to attack. Liam wandered bast a house who's previous owner had clearly been a fan of topiary bushes.

Grace finally found herself at the telepath's door, and knocked. This boy was about Liam's age, and she personally had a soft spot for him.

{lol...All the blond characters look like Fai. XD I guess Kohaku could be Grace. But her eyes are brown...She looks like Chii, but with shorter hair. And...There's a boy who's name I can't remember. But he looks SO MUCH like Fai and Yuui. So, I don't really think either of them could be Grace and Adam. -.- lol. Oh well.}

Cody yawned as he lazily opened the door, and leaned against the door frame, giving Grace an empty look. "Did you have to wake me?" he asked, his eyes momentarily filling with crocodile tears. But, Grace probably knew all his tricks by now. He used them often enough.
With a small smile, he stood up straight and moved to the side to let Grace in. "You want me to try contacting your friends again...don't you?"

[Hyena.]

Justin was jerked awake by the feeling of falling, and opened his eyes from behind his trademark glasses not to see the slightly-crumbling roof of a five-star hotel bedroom, but the open sky.
And then leaves, and then branches, and then trunks.
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!" He shouted as he fell, his arms flailing and his head spinning, and he rocketed down and hit the river's surface hard. The splash that went up was rather large and wide, and severely drenched Fay and Jessie.

Justin splashed about in the river, surfacing and spitting water, wiping his face with one hand and fishing around for his glasses with the other,keeping his eyes shut until he found them, only opening them when he'd wiped the lenses and set the glasses on his face. He grumbled and stood up, swearing occasionally as he wrung out bits of his teeshirt and wiped off lichen and river-scum. "Feckin' disgustin'." He muttered, and then looked up as he stepped out of the river. He froze at the sight of Fay, but his foot ignored his brain, went down, slipped on the mud, and Justin went heels over head and face-first into the bank before bouncing back into the river. He got up, hurting now as well as wet and cold.
"Now what the feck is me body doin' bringin' me around to a choice guy like you, Feckin' Tarzan wannabe? Where's psycho-lover?" He said. He had nearly gotten used to his recent unwilling jumps, but this was a new level.

Fay turned back when he heard something crashing through the trees, and into the river, getting ready to defend himself, because there was no way he'd be able to get away fast enough if it was just a chase. But his thoughts were cut off as the freezing cold water drenched both him, and the baby fox, which tried to dart behind a tree, and yelped in pain, unable to put too much weight on its injured leg.
It took a moment to get over being drenched, then he realized what he was seeing, and stifled his laughter behind his hand. "Wow...Someone actually clumsier than Jessie," he commented in amusement, as he watched Justin fall a second time.
Then Justin spoke, and he froze, the fear flashing momentarily in his blue eyes. "You recognize me?" he whispered, using his power to quickly turn the chair back towards the house. One of the wheels jammed on a large rock, and he was thrown forwards, softening the impact of his fall just in time to avoid a couple of bruised ribs. Damn it! he thought, over and over. Oh well...It doesn't matter...He wont get any answers out of me, no matter what!
He pushed himself up into a sitting position, with a little more dignity than Justin's recovery, and glared Justin directly in the sunglasses. "Maybe your body decided it wanted to die?" he responded coldly, indicating that he would attack if Justin came any closer. Then he blushed, and became unable to maintain eye contact. "He's not my lover! Don't be gross...I'm not even old enough...I just look after him because he's an idiot."
At that moment, the fox pup limped back out of hiding, and growled at Justin, obviously under the impression that he was attacking Fay. He yelped again as he tested his weight on his injured leg.
"Now look what you did!" Fay hissed angrily. "Come on," he added in a gentler tone, holding his arms out for the pup, and letting it limp right into them, burying its face against his chest. "You freaked him out and he hurt his leg again! Idiot!"

"There," Yuui whispered cheerfully, as a lone wild cat came into view, sniffing at the mangled corpse of a middle aged woman. Before he could even move, though, two people blocked their path, as a third went for the cat.
The first man smirked. "That isn't enough of a feast, now is it?"
Yuui smiled, stepping in front of Timmy, and almost feeling Kurogane's anger. "You're cannibals, then?" he asked sweetly. A second later, the second man had shoved a knife into his stomach. He winced, then looked down at the knife, and slowly pulled it out.
The two men would have had time to attack, however, they were unable to move. Timmy had them trapped with his power, along with the third man and the cat.
Smirking, Kurogane ruffled Timmy's hair, and electrocuted the men. Not killing them, but causing them to pass out. Then he teleported over and grabbed the cat.
Just to make sure they weren't followed when Timmy released the third man, Yuui made his way over, his injury already completely healed, and jammed the knife through the man's arm, and in between the bricks of the crumbling building behind, holding him in place.
The three would survive...if they were lucky. So, the family felt no remorse for leaving them like that, as they teleported to a safer place. The wild cat had already been knocked out, so it wouldn't feel any pain as it was killed to be eaten.

[Hyena.]

"I ain't one f'r forgettin' faces easily." Justin said.
He stared coldly from behind the blacked-out lenses of his sunglasses. "It wouldn't be the only on." he quipped, his voice filled with an uncharacteristic emptiness, stony and chilling. Justin stepped out of the river, looking away from Fay and pouring water from his shoes.
"Whatever he is or is not, 'e ain't 'ere, and ye still ain't answered me question. Unless he's dead..a lot can'appen in four years."
He set his shoes in a beam of sunlight, and removed his top to wring out. His thin frame was lashed with scars, some thin, some fat, some shallow, some deep. It was obvious that not all were due to battle or survival in post-apocalyptia. He stopped when the cub appeared.
"Still, not everyt'in' changes." He said, venom dripping from his tongue.

JayJay watched as she lay on the wall above the alley, studying the 'porter's family and noting the powers. She was not a cannibal; she had refused to sink that far, perhaps to spite Desgraca, but she still needed to survive, and looting was a means to an end. Plus, corpses didn't fight back.
She cursed as they jumped away and got up, running down the wall before shifting her gravity centre to jump to the opposite building. She made her way across what was left of the city in this manner, staying high, and breathed a sigh of relief when she found her mark again. She jumped, flipped, and landed on the floor with one leg bent, the other outstretched, and her hands in front pressed to the floor. She hid behind what remained of a crumbling support pillar, and silently watched the family.

Jessie treckked barefoot across the dry leaves, and brital twigs of the forest floor, making very noticeable cracks, and pops that resounded in the previous silence.. He was looking for Fay, his Fay. Who, since he had not bothered to wake jessie up in the morning with his general slap, and nagg for Jessie to get up, and go chop fire wood, so they could heat the small log, and brick house they had acquired almost imidiatly after degraca telaported them, was probobly out in the woods, picking herbs that he magically transformed into remedies for almost any illness, or afliction. Jessie rubbed his stubbly face, not quite completely awake, still in his sleeping things, the second he had woken, he had gone throughout the house looking for Fay , hoping he would make him somthing for breakfast, but finding him not, ventured outside knowing exactly where he would find him. As he finally came into view, Jessie whined" Fayyy is their anythingggg for brekfastt?" he blinked when he saw Justin.. "who's that" he said still looking sleepy, and confused, rubbing his eye, while he stared.

Fay glared at Justin, stroking the baby fox comfortingly. "You're criticizing me for helping a baby," he muttered, disgust in his voice. "See...This is why I'm not saddened one bit by the fall of humanity."
He frowned at Justin. There was something about the emptiness in the way he had spoken, and the scars on his body, that gave Fay chills that had nothing to do with the water that had soaked through his clothes. "You know...that wasn't serious...I'll only kill you if you do something to deserve it. And trust me, it's not something you'd want if you experienced it."
He wanted to avoid talking about Jessie's whereabouts, because the idiot was most likely still asleep at the house, and he didn't particularly want to lead this guy there. He could be in contact with the others, for all they knew. Fay wasn't in the mood for the whole group to teleport themselves into the house, all demanding answers at once. But, before he could even begin to make up a change of subject, he heard something crashing through the forest behind them, and sighed. "There," he just muttered, pointing in the direction the sound was coming from, as he climbed back into his chair. And sure enough, a second later Jessie appeared, whining tiredly at him. "The forest is full of breakfast," he reminded him patiently. "But if you really must have it pointed out for you every day...just wait a little longer this morning, ok?" He turned to look at Jessie, at the stubble on his face, and his sleep induced zombie-like appearance. "...You look like a bum."
Then, he looked at Justin once more, and frowned. "We don't even know his name," he replied, giving Justin an expectant look.

"Daddy~! Tou-san~! Can I help this time?" Timmy asked hopefully, keeping his voice as quiet as possible. He knew they couldn't let anyone find them while they were cooking, because the meal was likely to be stolen from them.
Yuui smiled, and picked Timmy up. "Why don't we let tou-san do it, today?" he suggested cheerfully. "With age comes experience...Besides...While he's cooking, we can play the look out game and make sure no one tries to disturb him."
"OI!"
"See...He thinks it's a good idea!"
Timmy giggled at the expression on Kurogane's face, and nodded. "K~!" He made a serious expression, and looked around. He had the strange feeling they were being watched...But, that couldn't be right. No one had found them here before.

Jessies shoulders slumped, disapointed that he wouldent get brekfast anytime soon, well he could..but he was honestly too lazy to forage for his brekfast, when he knew Fay would do it just a little bit later, and probobly better than him anyway."Hmph..fine Okay..I want scrambled eggs though.." He grumbled, stretching, while running his fingers through his hair, He shivered slightly, he was only wearing a pair of pijama bottoms..and had decided it was okay to go outside when their was fresh snow on the ground.
"S'yo yeah..who are you.hn...whatcha got there Fay?" Leans to look at baby fox."another one?..did ya name him yet..can I?"

Grace rolled her eyes at Cody. "If you sleep until this late, it's a miracle you're still alive." She retorted. Most watches had run out of battery, so the exact time was a thing no on was sure about, especially because seasons changed the hours of daylight and of cours no one knew when daylight saving hours were active. Grace didn't really care about the time or date anymore, but Adam kept track of it as best he could. But it was harder now, in late Auttumn or early Winter, because the days were shorter.
Grace slipped in, before hitting the back of Cody's head, not all too gently. "Just announce it to the whole world, will you?" She asked sarcastically, closing the door. Not quite answering his question, Grace looked at Cody. "I'm assuming you can fight. You done any conditional training?" Finally, she answered his question. "That and to hear the newest idiotic idea." Grace didn't think the resistance itself was idiotic, but the vast majority of their ideas were.

"Fine," Fay sighed impatiently. Luckily for Jessie, Fay had been watching a nest for about two days now, and the eggs wee freshly laid. Otherwise, he would have refused. "Can you at least start the fire?" he asked sweetly. Sometimes he wondered whether Jessie remembered that the use of fossil fuels and electricity, and other luxuries were off limits now. Then he looked down at the baby fox, and shook his head. "He's the same fox from last week," he explained. "And, he already has a name...We have no right to give him another."
The fox pup nodded once in agreement, and yawned.
Fay couldn't help smiling slightly when he saw Jessie shivering. It seemed kind of sweet that he had rushed out without thinking to put on a shirt, just to find him...Ok, the reason had been he had wanted his breakfast. Still. Fay had been cold enough before Justin had decided to splash land in the river, and he had been wrapped up against the weather, so he knew Jessie must be freezing. "You really are an idiot...Do you want to get pneumonia?" He looked at Justin again, and frowned. If he was left out here, unable to teleport properly, and with no dry clothes, he would probably end up ill.
"If you tell us your name, and connections with other people, we might let you come back and borrow some of Jessie's clothes while yours dry...You can have something to eat as well, as long as you help out. And I'll give you something to put on those scars. But, then you're out of here. We don't want too many people hanging around, and you'll just draw more attention."

Cody shrugged. "Well, I already figured that if a pack of hungry wolves decided to get in here, I wouldn't stand a chance awake or asleep," he replied indifferently. "If I'm tired, I'll sleep..." His voice drifted off and he gave Grace an almost concerned look. "You should probably try it sometime, too." Then he flinched when she hit him, and the crocodile tears returned.
"That hurt...Be careful, I'm so fragile I might break," he whispered, pretending to sound upset. "You're so cruel!" It was the kind of act that had got him out of doing sports at school, when he hadn't felt like it. Now, however, he was no longer eleven, and the act was useless most of the time, anyway. Still, it came automatically. And, he continued, his expression changing to one of mock admiration, his eyes brightening. "It accidentally slipped out...but...if anything heard, you would beat it up for me, right away, wouldn't you?"
Then, he decided to stop, before Grace got annoyed and hit him again.
He considered her questions, as he led the way into what remained of the living room in the crumbling house. "I haven't had any special training, like you," he replied. "But...I guess I'm good enough to have stayed alive the past four years. It's getting harder for humans, though...TV?" He added the last part, as he pointed to a stack of paper which he had found in the house, and on which he had drawn pictures of various TV programs, and put blue tack on the back of. The TV was damaged, and obviously not in use, due to the lack of electricity. He stuck one of the pictures to the cracked screen, then turned back to look at Grace. "I can try, but I can't guarantee it will work this time, either...I think I almost got one of them, last time, though." Then, he smiled. "So far, all they can agree on is that they want to kill Desgraca...Idea after idea is being dropped because some genius points out a flaw. If we could all get together, face to face, it wouldn't be such a problem."

Justin made to answer but decided not to as Jessie came crashing through the treeline. He stopped, watched, and waited, and sighed as Fay turned back to him.
"Fine. Justin Grimm, Jumper, I ain't much good, I don't need nothin' f'r no scars, and I ain't got any feckin' connections. So ye can stop fussin' 'bout me bringin' others round 'ere."
He walked over. Under normal circumstances, he'd have jumped the small distance and probably appeared sitting beside Fay, but it had been far, far too long since Justin had lived under what he considered 'normal' circumstances.
"An' get that feckin' mutt outta me face." He said as the fox cub sniffed around his feet as he walked past.

JayJay breathed. In, out, in, hold. She nearly risked a peek but the child hadn't moved, and unless she did something in the way of distraction, she was going to be found out. And probably killed.
She moved, very slowly, ducking down and then using what remained of a wall as cover. She made her way to the next support pillar, glad that it was connected to something, and hid behind it, shifting her centre of gravity to begin crawling up it.
Her foot hit a snag and she realised too late, and she cursed and froze as she kicked loose a chunk of concrete and it tumbled a foot or so to the ground. The bumps as it feel seemed to echo infinitely, and she prayed, already knowing it was in vain. This family was about to find her.

Fay let out a small sigh of relief, and his expression softened. "You really aren't in contact with any of them?" he persisted warily, hoping Justin was telling the truth. "...I guess I believe you, for now. But, if you're lying, we'll have no choice but to kill you." His tone indicated that that was the last thing he wanted. He hated taking lives, but he was nowhere near ready to meet up with the others.
The scowl returned to his face, however, when Justin referred to the fox pup as a 'mutt', and a small pebble lifted from the ground, and threw itself at the back of Justin's head, not hard enough to injure him, but hard enough to cause a dull pain. "You're trespassing in his home. He has every right to sniff you. It's his way of making sure you're safe!" He used his power again, to lift the chair up over the larger roots and rocks, and onto the slightly more even path. Then he began to lead the way back to the house, causing a nest to float over from a branch overhead, and onto his knee.
"How many places have you been to?" he asked Justin curiously. Part of him wanted to know how bad the fate of humanity was...but he was still scared of finding out the answer, so he hesitated before asking his next question. "Were there...were there many people?"

The family of three froze as one as the sound of concrete hitting concrete resounded around them. "Company!" Yuui whispered happily, receiving a nod from Kurogane to go check it out. He made his way around the pillar, and looked up at the girl frozen to the spot. "Konnichiwa~!" he called up to her cheerfully, as he lowered Timmy to the ground, just inside the shadow of the pillar, and stood protectively in front of him.
Kurogane rolled his eyes when Yuui's voice carried over to him. Then he scowled at the next thing Yuui said.
"Kuro-saur~! Watch out, there's only one here, but she might be a distraction."
"One more age joke and I'll-" Kurogane started.
"Thank you, Kuro-tan," Yuui interrupted sweetly, before looking up at Jayjay again. "Let me guess...You have us surrounded?"

[Hyena.]

Justin growled.
"If I was in contact wit' anyone, boy, I wouldn't be 'ere." Then he snarled as the pebble hit him and he whirled round. His glasses flew off but he didn't care, and his completely white eyes, without pupils or irises, stared Fay in the eyes.
"I ain't no feckin' threat, you stupid kid!" He roared. "I can't feckin' control me own feckin' power an' I ain't no feckin' good in any feckin' fight any-feckin'-way, so get that, that, that thing outta me face and shut y'r trap till me body decides it doesn't LIKE where it is anymore!"
Startled birds flew from trees around them and the cub was quivering behind a frozen Fay. Behind Justin, Jessie snarled and cracked his knuckles. Justin sighed, and walked over to pick up his glasses, his frame going limp and lifeless again as he moved, no longer stirred by any extreme emotion.
"I..I'm sorry, lad. I've had a rough four years. Y'r the first contact I've had anywhere, whether I got there willin'ly or otherwise. Everywhere's the feckin' same. Ruins an' animals, an' whatever pitiful remains of us are left are bein' systematically wiped out." Justin replaced his glasses, covering his eyes. "So much for livin' equally. We're dyin', Fay. Desgraca never wanted equality. He wanted death."
Justin turned away, beginning to follow the path Fay was making.
"He wants extinction. And he's gettin' it."

JayJay breathed a sigh of relief. They were...friendly. They were nice.
She stood, her body extending paralell to the ground Yuui stood on, and walked down then pillar. When she hit the floor, she simply stepped onto it like one would stepping forward. JayJay brushed her jacket off.
"..no." She said, rubbing her arm. "I'm..I'm solo. I was tracking you...you're- you were a mark. I don't kill, but I gotta survive." She cleared her throat.
"Sorry. I'll go." JayJay bowed an apology to the man and the child still sitting at the fire, and began to walk toward the edge of the building.
