Lexa frowned, now she was really confused "You guys are weird, but in a good and funny way" she said with a small smile, finally someone as weird as her, if not weirder.

"well when your on the street you've got to eat somehow and doing parlor tricks like that will feed me for 2 days I can eat for a month with one pack!" Darius leaned back in his chair tipping on two legs and ignoring what the teacher was saying.

Luna lit a piece of paper and put it in her mouth flame first.

"whoa what are you doing?" Darius was so startled he fell over hitting his head on the floor "GOD DAMN IT THAT HURT!" he sat up and rubbed the back of his head.

"How come you were on the street? and also, if I were you, I'd use school time to learn something useful, you never know, as I see it....I'll need it for working life..." Lexa trailed off, she knew how harsh life could be, and when he mentioned he was on the street she was glad she had Amberly (her older sister) to look after her, or she would have probably been in some kind of similar situation as Darius, and she could never do cool tricks like that. She saw learning important as she had to take the school exams to get a scholarship otherwise she'd be kicked out, and her sister wouldn't ever be able to afford this schools prices. "Seriously, you guys are going to get in serious trouble with the fire lighting, I'm surprised someone hasn't sent you down to the head of year yet." Lexa said in a warning tone and glanced at what Luna was doing and shook her head, no wonder people stared at them. Lexa looked down at Darius "You alright down there?" she said offering a hand to help him up.

Luna took the paper out. She rolled a new one and held it in front of her mouth. She blew slightly and a stream of fire came out. She giggled and opened the paper. It had a beautiful picture of a butterfly and her name under it.

Darius took her hand and from then on tried to pay attention but it was hard he knew this stuff it was simple physics he used all these principles for the parlor tricks and he had already memorized the book "this is a joke isn't this supposed to be a high class school?" he asked.

Lexa stared and wondered how she managed to get the butterfly and her name written on it, "You guys have some cool tricks" she said in awe, she was just a normal kid, at a posh school where she really had never fitted in until now that was...and so what if Luna and Darius were weird, at least then they could all be weird together. Lexa knew this would be the coolest term ever. And she couldn't wait to tell Amberly all about it during half term.

"Thats awesome, hey guys you wanna see something cool about theses scars?"Darius asked as class ended.

"Sure!" She Luna doubtful they could get cooler

Darius took a cigarette and dumped the tobacco out into his hand then lit it and put it in his mouth. the scars glowed a deep red ember color before he spit it out into the paper after a minute. "pretty cool huh?"

Lexa wondered how he could make scars that he hated look cool? that was just daft, class rang out to signal the 5 minute toilet break between form and first lesson. Then when she saw, it wasn't cool it was freaky, but she wasn't going to say that.

"so how does this schedule thing work can someone fill me in?" Darius was confused about a lot of things in this school.

"Basically you read across for the day, and down for the times" Lexa said, pointing it all out and comparing it to her timetable, which was exactly the same "wow, exactly the same lessons as me, weird huh?" she added as she folded her falling apart timetable and shoved it in her jean pocket.

"lucky me I guess since I dont know where anything in this school is." Darius laughed slightly "maybe I can teach you some parlor tricks whatd ya say?"he asked

"Aw man that was the only class I had with you guys!" Said Luna sadly

"Luna you're lucky your not stuck with the performing monkey all day! haha don't worry I'm only messing Dari" Lexa said with a small cheeky smile as the bell rung, "see you at lunch Luna, come on monkey boy, we got some class to learn in" she said as she hugged Luna and turned to walk to class.
