So I basically lost my best friend today. He said he no longer wants me as his friend because all i do is cause him pain. But he always seems to forget that I once stayed up all night wondering if he killed himself, I showed him he could be loved when his bitch-ex was never there for him, i got his ex to back off, and i was there for him every time he had a breakdown, and i was happy for him when he got a real girlfriend.

and to repay me he called my boyfriend a piece of shit out of the blue just because he's never liked him, even though he doesn't know him, and every time we fight it's ALWAYS my fault. after the fight, he asks me if i learned my lesson but he never tells me what i did wrong! and he's bipolar which makes every bad situation worse.

today he said "goodbye". and it was very final. i did everything for him. and he just wants to drop me like i'm trash.

he knows how to make me feel stupid and worthless, and i feel very manipulated. but i kinda do the same to him because he acts so fucking righteous! but he never acknowledges that he did something wrong. unless i confront him over a phone call. everything seems to be my fault to him. we BOTH have stuff to work on. i know that. but he doesnt want to accept that he fucked up too.

when I tell him that i cut myself, he threatens to make me feel so much pain that I'll never want to cut again, which i consider abusive. it just makes me want to cut more.

Half of my scars are because of him but he doesn't care.

oddly though, i dont want to lose him. i cant stand the thought of never talking to him again. i've shared every secret with him because he can understand a lot of things other people wouldnt.

I just dont know what to do. im waiting a few days to call him. i know he needs to calm down. his gf said she'd talk to him for me. i just cant believe he really would want to drop me like this. i know i can be a bitch but he said he loved me to death like a best friend, so if i'm really his best friend, shouldn't he take me back?

its only with him that i fight. so theres something in both of us. not just me, right?

i just dont know what to do anymore.

You should both back off for a few days, and have a cooling off period.
If he doesn't want to talk to you, you can't really force him (sad to say, but it's true) so just let him come to you?
