Andrea raised her eyebrow "Sarcasm Williams, is not appreciated" she said as she turned her back, and began to walk off, monitoring the rest of the recruit members, then she came to Gerald. "BROWN!" she shouted, wondering how he would react if someone shouted at him whilst he was in combat, Andy had this feeling that Brown and Williams were always so distracting to each other, if they both went out tonight, they would have to be in different waves. One in wave 2, and the other in wave 3. Neither were good enough to be in wave 1. Andy waited and then shouted again "BROWN!" she bellowed, making herself sound like she wanted him to stop...being knocked off-guard in the field was the easiest mistake to make. If he didn't take the bait, she had one idea to put both Brown and Williams to the test.
Renne was sat in her cell, she could hear something weird going on in the room next to her, she wondered what the hell they were doing. She had wanted to enjoy her last night in peace, but the loudest neighbour clearly wasn't going to allow that. She had been sent back to her sell early for misconduct. Which meant she was acting up, but what were they going to do about it? Execute her? Well they were already planning to do that in the morning anyway.
(Sorry for the Blah post, but I've got so much exam prep D: I will try and post as much as I can.)

"Stay close, Montez," Sergeant Price hissed in a sharp whisper as she and Keira ran toward their target location: an apartment complex was a suspected base of operations for the terrorist cell present in the city. The ambient clatter of the urban environment felt somewhat distant, even as they drew nearer. Karen just hoped that it would be enough to drown out their footsteps.
By the time the two reached the basement level access Keira was slightly winded; lugging a fully equipped Outer Tactical Vest was taxing on one with a body like her's. "In position," she muttered into her throat microphone when she finally controlled her breathing.
Karen tapped her comm and repeated. "Team one--in position. Honcho, you have visual?"
"Affirm," came his reply. "Ten meters from the parking garage entrance, down the stairs."
Just then, Rick's voice cut into the channel. "Team two--in position."
At that, Karen looked across the door at Montez, who came back with a curt nod, flicking the safety toggle on her rifle and taking hold of the pistol grip of the attached X26 taser gun mounted underneath the barrel. It was a clever method of Less Than Lethal force, having the weapon on standby in the event of an unexpected situation where it would be needed. Karen, on the other hand, saw no use for a taser. Like everyone in her squad, she was carrying rubber rounds, and she was confident that she could drop the suspects in her field of fire without having to reinforce the pain with electroshocks.
"Remember," she said while drawing a sting grenade. "Non-lethal takedowns."
After a brief countdown with her free hand, Keira opened the door just enough for her squad leader to deploy her non-lethal deterrent. The brief and startled cries of the terrorists were drowned out as the grenade exploded into a nightmare of tear gas and rubber pellets. A second detonation and a blinding flash from inside confirmed that team two was on cue with their flashbang grenade.
One after the other, Price and Montez breached the room, sweeping left to right at different angles and firing on the afflicted fighters. Their speed and efficiency took down most of the hostiles in the room before they could regain their bearings. One of the few that tried to fight back, a fire manipulator, was quickly subdued by the two-pronged bite of Keira's taser, causing the man's body to seize up in mid-flare. As he fell to the ground, his jacket billowed smoke as his strike backfired and burned spots all over the fabric.
The remaining three began falling back to a secondary elevator, one that the schematics didn't show in their briefing. With a curse, Price ordered her team to advance, weaving through the walls of crates and boxes covering the floors. As Keira took two steps out into the open to readjust, one of the suspects about-faced...the onyx shimmer of gun metal flashing in his hands. He had her dead to rights.
At that moment, a gloved fist shot from the edge of the hall and slammed into the man's cheek, sending him to the ground. Officer Mathis emerged from behind the stack of crates and kicked the suspect's gun aside before planting his heel against his neck. Looking once to check Keira's status, he then nodded her to the elevator and shouted, "Go!"
Montez nodded in thanks and acknowledged, but before she and Price could make it, the elevator was already in motion. "Dammit!" Karen shouted. "Honcho, be advised: two terrorists are making their way up to the parking garage. We're coming back up. Rick--on me. Doll, Grizz--stay here and secure all suspects."
"You got it." For a moment after Karen and Rick left, Keira was silent as she cuffed her share of suspects.
Grizz had just pulled out a sedative syringe from one of the terrorists that showed more threatening on a bio scanner read when he asked, "You okay, Doll?"
"I'm fine," she laughed. "You've got my back."
"Heh. As usual."
----------------------------------------------------
Officer Carl Greyson flexed his fingers over his M14 EMR's grip, keeping his finger steady over the trigger ring as he watched the garage's automatic door start to creep open. He was far enough to have to use a scoped rifle but the sound of a revving engine reached his ears no trouble. "Boss, they have transpo. How flexible is my no-kill mandate?"
"As a bloody rock. Shoot to disable only."
"Solid copy."
The echoing screech of tires prompted Carl's finger over the trigger as it grew louder, screaming like a terrified banshee. The escape vehicle barreled out of the exit, disregarding the cautionary speed bump and bouncing its nose into the ground, sparks flying as its bumper shook loose. Carl trailed the vehicle, keeping his crosshairs at a good two meters ahead of the car's hood. He fired twice, puncturing the hood. His aim was to at least try to cut an essential line to the vehicle's combustion system, which proved successful as black fluid sprayed out the top and over the windshield, warranting a non-committal, but inevitable halt as the car choked and glugged to a stop. Sure enough, the two suspects bailed, one of which spotted Carl's position right off the bat and began firing at him.
Without another thought, Honco squeezed the trigger only to watch his bullet impact an invisible barrier surrounding the man. At the same moment, the other suspect, standing next to the intended target, crumbled and hit the pavement, clutching at his abdomen. At the sight, his partner dropped his weapon and surrendered, clearly shaken and full of grief at the moment.
"Transpo is down," he said, standing up. "One suspect neutralized, another is complying for arrest."
"Roger that. Stay where you are and cover them. We've got this."

"Those lessons definitely paid off," Gem whispered. He completely ignored the other guard as they passed him, expecting him to stop them at any moment...This was still going far too smoothly, and they were running out of time.
They came to another corridor of cells, and Gem looked at the faces of the other prisoners, wishing they could do something for them...These were the people who were going to die in a couple of hours. "Is it selfish to leave them here?" he asked Ryker as quietly as he could, so they didn't hear and alert the guards out of jealousy, or beg to be saved. But, then, he saw the girl from the dining hall, and he smirked, stopping at her cell. "Aw...Look at you, like a little caged animal. I'd feel sorry for you, but I'd feel sorry for the world more if you lived, and it had to keep putting up with you...Sad that I can't stick around to watch you die, though." he sighed dramatically, then turned to Ryker, smiling innocently. "Now, I don't feel so bad. Let's go."

Renne snarled at the boy's remark..."Oh, leaving so soon? but that party is just beginning" She answered back coldly and then with all her inner strength she screamed "Guards...Escapee's!" At the top of her voice. Whilst she was in the cell any magic they may attempt on her wouldn't work...and their powers shouldn't be able to be used in here anyway, the only thing she could get was a small flight, but even then that was draining. She had been trained by strong forces, who she now believed probably worked for the resistance, she however had been caught before being recruited. She smiled as she saw the guards racing with their guns that didn't hold ordinary bullets, and that would only work on "their kind".

Gem's eyes widened in fear. "No, don't!" he begged. "We have keys...We'll let you out!" But, it was too late. The guards were already swarming the corridor, surrounding both him and Ryker.
Out of desperation, Gem forced a laugh. "Are you blind?" he asked them. "He's a guard, too...Can't you see, he's just-" It was no use. Seeing he was already cuffed, one of the guards grabbed Gem by the arm. The others closed in on Ryker.
"Take them to cells as far away from each other as possible," the guard holding Gem instructed. He smirked through the bars at Renne. "Nice one...But don't think it will win you any popularity with us. They would have been caught anyway."
"Let me go!" Gem protested, struggling pointlessly. "I didn't even do anything wrong! You can't kill me!" He glared at Renne, almost tearfully. "You don't know what you've done...You idiot!" He finally gave up trying to struggle, giving Ryker an apologetic look as he was taken back to his cell.
{Skip to morning, soon? It's only about...two hours? away.}

(Next post, although with badass missing, it's going to be only my character but oh well, I'll just have to deal with it)
Renne smirked, she didn't care, if she was going to be killed in 2 hours, she would make sure they went down with her. She looked back at the guard "You think I care about popularity with you people who are the reason this world is going to shit?" she said sounding angry, but that was all an act to get the guards all fired up.
Andy was annoyed that they had continued to mess around but she had no time "Right, Listen up, I want all 3 waves in group formation now, I will run with wave 1, and coach and a lower member of staff with run with wave 2 and 3, we have exactly 2 hours to get to the prison, but I don't want any attention until everyone is in position!" she yelled out the orders, getting her wave rallied and then running, at almost cheetah speed...that wasn't power, anyone could do that if they trained hard enough, she unlocked the doors before she got to them, meaning she had a clean run to the surface, she then moved out of the way slowing to a normal human jogging pace, because they didn't have time to walk, using her telepathy skills to find out if anyone was following or watching them, and when she had scanned the area, she signaled to her wave to move out, and then telling them to do the same to the other staff that were running with each wave. They had to accomplish this.

Price and her team were helping the response officers with categorizing their arrests and shipping them off to central booking. Most of them were harmless enough to be taken in groups, having a number of defensive powers. The firestarter on the other hand had to be taken in with a specialized unit to prevent any mishap. In closing the operation, there were a total eight terrorists in custody and one wounded, scheduled to be transported to the nearest hospital.
Honcho couldn't help but stare as the paramedics wheeled the man away on a gurney, his hand planted over the top of his hat with remorse. As Karen approached him, she heard him utter a curse beneath his breath. There was no room for that kind of doubt, not now. "You okay?" she asked.
"Yeah...Could I get in trouble for that?"
She shook her head. "This bloody 'non-lethal' force is just a white wash from higher-up. Don't be surprised if they're all dead by the end of the week."
"Still..."
Price waved a dismissive hand, silencing the sniper. "If it comes down to it, I gave the order to shoot. I'm team leader; it's my responsibility."
Carl nodded. "Alright...thanks, Sarge."
Just as Karen concluded their talk with a nod and began to turn away, a bioscanner chimed from inside the ambulance. The commotion between the medics ceased and was replaced by utter silence. Half of Karen's team turned about, but only she advanced to investigate. "What's going on?"
The first medic turned from their patient, gloves reddened with blood from the process of sealing the wound with a styptic. The patient was stable from the looks of him; Karen had seen far worse to assume there was any complication, and as the medic pulled off his gloves and mask his expression was one of confusion rather than despair.
"This could be wrong," the man said, "but the scan's labeling his guy as human."
Karen furrowed her brow, and a few feet behind her was Carl adding another four-letter word to his few words of the day. "Are you telling me that humans are sympathizing now? What are you going to do with him?"
He shrugged. "Protocol dictates I bring him to a hospital regardless. Judging him isn't my call."
"Right. Right..." Karen glanced over her shoulder, calling to Montez.
"Doll," as called by her peers, trotted her way to the ambulance, renewing the namesake with her confident, upright walking posture and flick of her platinum hair from her eyes. To most, it was a mystery how she didn't become a professional model or an actress. Nope, Karen thought with amusement, this muppet just had to be in my team.
The officer's sharp, girlish tone pierced through the sergeant's inner voice. "Yeah, boss?"
"Escort this ambulance to where they have to go and keep me posted on the status of their patient."
"Yes, ma'am," she complied without question, hopping into the back.
As much as she hated wasting talent, in this particular case with placing one of her own on hospital guard duty, this was an odd twist in their operation. Something like this just didn't go unnoticed even to higher ups in the law. Though she wasn't surprised--she had seen terrorist sympathizers before in conflicts. Maybe this was just one singular event, she thought; maybe they were forcing him, or he was brainwashed. God only knew what kind of mind games these freaks could pull on people. Until the answers were provided, Price had one responsibility: her team.

rylie got into her wave. she was nervous and excited.
ryker was pissed. the stupid whore had gotten them locked back up. he felt a lump in his pocket. he grabbed it. he had forgotten about the gun. he twisted it the best he could and fired. he hit the guard behind him in the arm. "argh! " he screamed. ryker headbutted him and the guard fell to the ground unconscious. the other guard, the one holding gem, launched himself at ryker.

Name: Lydia Watson
Age: 18
Appearance:
Role: New recruit
Powers: Sight Telepathy (Telepathy of sight as opposed to thoughts) and Telekenesis
Other: She's blind, apart from when she borrows another person's sight. When she does, they experience an almost unnoticable sensation, akin to the one when it feels like someone is watching you in the dark.
"She's a freak! Lily's a freak!" Lydia heard the voice, and ran, trying to dodge objects that were once familiar, but now only stopped her getting through the door. She slammed, hard, into the wooden door, which had been open just seconds before.
"Dammit!" Lily cursed, feeling for the door handle... it was stuck. It wouldn't move. She turned back to the direction of her screaming sister. "Why would you do this! I'm your sister!"
"Freak!" Lily threw herself into the thirteen year old's eyes, and the world spun. Suddenly, she was facing herself, and she looked terrified. Lily saw the black shadow move past the window, and barely had time to move away from the door before it was knocked down. Of course, some people were working for the government. Lily moved away, trying to steer herself through another person's eyes. She had almost perfected it, and it was much easier than functioning blind. Of course, they knew that.
"Grace, she's using you, close your eyes!" a very familiar voice yelled. As the lids closed, Lily pulled away, mentally throwing a vase at her assailants. She heard it smash as a large mass knocked her down, smacking her head against the floor.
Lydia groaned as she sat up in her bunk. Today was the day. She had borrowed her family's eyesight to get some modicum of life, and it was stripped away like that. Literally. At least, she thought grimly, she wouldn't have to see her executioner. Unfortunately that meant that it would be hard to spit her disgust at him.

The guards were doing their final check, putting everyone back in the cells.
Renne was sat in her cell, as the guards had been doing their final checks, this was it, she was going to be taken out to the gallows in less than an hour, morning was approaching fast, and she wished the downfall of civilization, and she did the strangest thing...she began to pray for everything to be right, and that one day, her people would be able to go around safely and free.
Andy was coming up close to the gallows, they were all set in their places, in places that none of the guards nor the executioner could see, and the other waves were still on their way, but they wouldn't arrive until the prisoners were on the gallows ready for execution.

kyler shook the chains again. nope. not going anywhere. he sighed heavily. she's coming. you can bet your ass she is. a voice whispered in his ear. he jerked around, but saw nothing. he heard a womans giggle and with a gust of air the voice was gone. kyler found himself believing the voice. he stopped. who the hell was she? it didn't matter anymore, he knew. if she didn't come soon, his ass was going to lose a bet. and his life.

After being re-captured yet again, despite Ryker's efforts, by the guards who were just too strong, in both number and physical strength, Gem gave up. Who had he been kidding? There was no way they would have escaped. He blamed Ryker, mostly, for giving him false hope.
Now, their execution was less than an hour away...He would be dead before the sun rose properly.
And, all too soon, came the sound of footsteps again. The guards were finally coming to take them to the gallows. Gem glared at the guard who opened his cell, resisting the temptation to spit at him.
{X3 Sorry it's blah...*Tired.* And sorry it took so long. D:}

Thud. Thud. Thud. A great ape of a man made his way down the hallway, various keys chinking in his pockets. Instinctively, she moved away from the sound, until she backed up against the wall. A rough voice instructed, "Come here. Hands out!" Lydia moved forwards, raising her hand so she could feel the door. A horrible grating sound of metal scraping against metal followed, as the guard opened the slot in which Lydia was supposed to put her hands. With came the awful stench of a man who spent too much time smoking and not enough time showering.
Feeling the cold metal under her fingers, she felt her way to the slot, before slowly moving her hands through it, until the guard pulled them the rest of the way, grazing Lydia's arms. He closed a cold, iron bracelet on her wrist, tightening it until it cut her skin, before repeating the same on the other side. "Hands in" he commanded, before shutting the slot.
Ke-click, ke-click, ke-click. A lighter, yet not more elegant, woman was walking down the hall, one which had been there for the sentencing on Lydia, and was in charge of the execution this morning. She disgusted Lydia beyond belief. The woman unlocked the door, while announcing to seemingly no one, "Lydia Watson, for possessing a human being." She grabbed Lydia's arm and began leading Lydia away from her cell, past other inmates on death row, towards the one room where Lydia knew she would end up hanging. With the tiny amount of determination left that powered her, Lydia forced her way into the woman's eyes. She wasnt strong enough to make it last, just strong enough for the eight digit code to be seen by her. The witch didn't seem to notice, thankfully. Lydia knew it was no use, but the tiny bit of rebellion made her feel that bit better.
Suddenly, the bitch let go of her, shoving her into a man's grip. "Set her up. More will be arriving in the next few minutes. This better run smoothly. It's public, as you know."
Time was up.

Andrea was getting ready, but she would wait until it went on air, She gave a "get ready" signal to all the leaders and the smaller groups, and she waited for the others, like the woman had announced. This was the final showdown, she counted how many people were to be expected and there were four on the line today...but even though four seems a small number, it was four more into their training bases...which made each one easier as there were more and more.
"Praying wont do you shit" the guard said as he unlocked the cell, yanking her off the bed, which hurt Renne, but she wasn't going to give them the satisfaction of that. These would be her last living moments, and she would savor every moment of them. She watched as the guard clicked the cold iron bars around her wrists, and it was too tight, it crushed into her skin. A "smart" looking woman came down, she seemed to be the one who was the big boss around here, she was the one who sentenced and put them up the gallows.
"Renne Noble, On execution for Possession with intent to kill, and numerous homicides" the woman said as she wrote something on the Clipboard she was holding as they walked past all the prisoners, this was the death row walk, and a small tear slipped from her eye...she didn't want to die, but then again did anyone?
They marched her up the steps and stood her in front of the rope which soon would be hanging around her neck, a necklace of death...a death in vain.
The woman said there were still two more before the execution process began, and that they were to closely guard them all.
Renne heard that, and she knew who it would be left, Gem...and Ryker. She wasn't all that bothered, they had only annoyed her in the cells anyway. She wished it was all a nightmare and that she would wake up from this moments before her death. But she knew that was nothing but the fear giving her false hope...fear worked in strange ways. She tried not to cry, it would only show them how "weak-minded" they were.

Lydia heard a second figure being taken in. An adult, probably female, by the sound of her footsteps. As the loop was pulled over her head, Lydia spat at the man doing it. He swore, but otherwise made no comment. Instead he pulled the rope a little bit tighter, restricting Lily's breathing. "Too bad this won't hurt, there's not as much to gloat about when your opponent is half starved, tied up and when you hide behind a lever. It's rather pathetic, actually," she rasped. Suddenly pain tore across her cheek as he smacked her. It stung a surprising amount. The next moment the executioner had moved on, deling with something else. Instead, Lydia turned to the only source of sound - breathing - in the room which wasn't moving around. "What's your name?" she asked. At least she would know one person in the same situation as her when her time ran out.

{sorry bout the kyler thing, wrong rpg}
RYKER {to self not ya'll} jangled the keys again. it was no use, he knew, but he liked the sound they made. he hovered on above his cot. he tried to go higher but it was no use, they had pretty advanced stuff in this cell which took away his strength when he used his powers. he sat back down on the cot and sighed. "fuck this!" he went to the cell door. "hey! when do i get to die?!" he yelled. he heard the jingle of keys. a string of light made its way into the cell and the sudden brightness hurt rykers eyes. he blocked the light with his hands. "what did you say?" a latino womans voice asked. as his eyes adjusted, ryker said "i saaaaid, when do i get to die?" he gave the woman a once over. she glared at him then smiled. "right now, actually." she grabbed his cuffs and drug him towards the door. she was surprisingly strong for her petite size. she threw him against the wall, out of view from the other guards, and put her lips to his ear. "you try to escape or over power me and i will kick your ass right here and right now. okay? no funny buisness. now walk!" she said in a chilling tone. ryker walked obediently. she stopped him. "in here." she threw him in a room. there were 5 other guards in the room, and, no surprise, his guard was the only woman. he waved at the bitch who messed up their escape and the guard punched him in the gut. "keep walking. you can wave at her in hell you unearthly beast." she hissed. she put him beside a girl he didn't know, but had seen around. "hi." he said quietly. his guard punched him in the nose. he felt blood trickle out onto his lip. "i said to shut the fu-" an new voice interupted her. "josephina! we do not curse at our prisoners! especially infront of the television! now apologize." a creepily polite voice commanded. you could see the fear in josephina's eyes when she heard his voice. she quickly turned and bowed to the man. "please forgive me, sir." his smile vanished. "not to me! to our viewers!" he said dangerously. josephina's back tensed. "of course! i am so sorry!" his warning glance made quiver with fear. "i am so sorry, everyone at home." she looked at him for approval. he nodded and mouthed "get off the stage".

rylie was prepared. all her armor was in order, her powers seemed to work fine, and she was in the waves. she was happy. then she heard andrea yelling about it being time and to get moving. she started feeling queesy. that made her nervous, she didn't usually get like this when something important was at stake. but then she knew the feeling. it was whenever the ghost woman came around and whispered sweet promises in her ear. he's in there, you know. hes waiting. don't make him wait long, dearie. when she blew out with the wind, rylie felt better. but andrea had a pissed of expression on her face. what else was new?

Renne had seen the way the guard had treated the girl, it was awful, and as he placed the rope around her neck, she tried not to panic. "Renne." she whispered, very lightly, knowing the only person who could hear her was the girl stood next to her on the gallows. Renne wanted to fight all this back, but she knew it was pointless, fighting would only get her killed quicker. She could sense someone, someone who wasn't supposed to be there. But she kept silent, not wanting to cause alarm. She smiled and waved at Ryker as he walked past.
Andrea wanted to attack now, but she knew it was a reckless and stupid move, why weren't they bringing the others...she knew there were two others yet. She didn't like waiting, she just wanted to get this over and done with, before it was too late. She looked over at Rylie who had made a noise "Williams...no noise" she mouthed with no sound. Then she watched as another prisoner was finally brought out, one more to go...and they were already airing? that wasn't normal. Andy was tense, but she knew one screw up and the whole organization was in trouble. If they were already airing, then the public would see how much of a fail their justice system is. She needed humans to sympathize with them...get enough on the inside and you've cracked the normal...and all descends into anarchy...and that was when Andy would take her place as ruler of the new world.
(blah sorry, brain is dying!)
