Hmm... All good points... There will be a mosh pit (or so I've been told) So I'm kinda scared to wear the black, it's strapless and I dont want it to slide off while I dance.

The black - It's classy, stylish and gorgeous. You can also reuse it for different occasions, black dresses never wear out of fashion. Whereas the other would only be suitable for certain occasions and wouldn't stick around in fashion for long. Plus, with the black you could make it chic, stylish, glam or elegantly sophisticated, depending on the occasion of course.

Black definitely. It's simple yet attractive. You can also play around with makeup and shoes in a large variety of colors, while instead with purple you have a smaller range of colors to choose from.
