I have met some amazing friends here, I don't have a lot of friends, so YOU GUYS ARE SPECIAL TO ME. I've met individuals here that changed my life. I had the best two weeks of my life because of EC. Realised I might like to go to college/university in Murrica because of EC. Got some music that is really important to me from EC. I get a lot of information on current events here. Experienced soul crushing disappointment and heartbreak because of EC. But that's life (aka this place is my life and outside of it, I do nothing).

Well I'm actually thankful to EC for many things. When I was very active I used to have a lot of fun with a few members and always looked forward to spending hours here on EC. There were many interesting topics which caused great uproar. Especially that "Runaway" thread  that seriously made me laugh for quite some time. Umm I also learned to be a little bit more tolerant of some people and their opinions, and to restrain myself from sounding like a total jerk at times. Before I would just talk smack about religion and god and shit like that, but now I've learned to keep those things to myself because EC just doesn't like morons like that. I also learned many things from different members and developed a few social skillz.

Welp. I met Phrike on here, and we had our one year anniversary early this month. <3 I've also met some really cool people on here who are equally as opinionated. EC has also helped to educate me in the art of trolling and being a Grammar Nazi. Can't live without that, of course. And some of the threads on here...

I have definantly met a lot of interesting people here on EC. People from all over the world that I probably wouldn't have met otherwise. Learned a lot that has made me a more well rounded person.
Live long and prosper EC.

I think for people to deny they get something out of this place is ridiculous, why the hell else would some people be sticking around for a matter of years, and I see them online several times a week? Old members regularly come back, you might leave EC but EC never really leaves you!

Hate to admit, but true words are true

Actually, I do enjoy the community on here. I joined originally to raid this place, but, unfortunately, it grew on me. I've left a few times, for months on end, and I've returned.

I've told people on here things that I haven't told many people in the real world, and I'm comfortable with that.

Carry on, EC.

'in this thread' is also acceptable grammatically. NAZI ATTEMPT FAIL.

I disagree. "content in this thread" sounds sort of clumsy. PLUS, the word 'content' already implies "in" as if something is content, then it has to be contained WITHIN something. So it's repetition, it's like saying "sufficiently enough".

Well actually I met my boyfriend on EC (I can tell you all care so much, so I'll keep going)

He made a topic in the singles section and the title intrigued me, so I looked it over and we had a lot in common (though I wasn't really looking for anything), so I commented and we've been inseparable ever since :)
We've been together 6 months to the day, and they've been the best 6 months of my short life :P

I met a girl on here three years ago that I'm still all over~

I know Ben, CJ, Jess, Brett, and Antonella truly changed my life from here tho. Like, they all kinda shaped who I am and made me more comfortable with myself and really just helped me a lot with my anxiety problems.

So much.

First off, it taught me two important things: That most people think homosexuality is okay and the existence of bisexuality.

It's confusing, spending your time wondering whether you are straight with a thing for girls or gay with a thing for boys. Being both had never been brought up, and so I thought I was really messed up.
It seems so unimportant, having a name for it, but the name is the acceptance of multiple people feeling the same way.

Secondly, it improved my writing. My OCs became more three dimensional. Grammar and spelling increased in leaps and bounds, working with the RPers.

Thirdly, the amount of times you guys have kept me alive that bit longer. I owe a lot of my current existence to you guys

For those of you who don't recognise this, a bunch of you clubbed together last year and sent me all these letters and a really cool fossil. You guys have no idea how endlessly grateful I am, even after sending you all thank you.
It shows that I still have all the letters.

Olol I remember that, mine was so impersonal it was amazing, a true work of art.

On topic, uuuuuuuuh I dunno, I met Kasey on here and we're still in love three years later soooo there's that. There was, however, Jade SAY IT WITH ME CHEWY loljade
I guess I'm pretty tight with Leah too but that's not really through here, persay, as having to APPROVE HER for Chewy.
I'm alright with Staton, by which I mean, we occasionally say a few sentences to each other over skype without insulting one another. I guess I'd grab a beer with him given the chance.

The rest of you are pretty French though so I don't think I'm missing out on much.

I only really talk to a small number of people on here often and they probably know who they are. I originally joined for the moosic forum. I think around this time last year it was alot more active now it seems to be withering and dying.

I also met my 1 tru luv 5eva (that's 1 more then 4eva) on here. We in domestic partnership now

Wait, what? I think I'm complimented? As long as it's not "man I don't wanna be like her"... :(

You do kind of have a point though, a lot of members behaviour I've seen that I hoped I could be like, or definitely don't want to be like, which is just as good to learn

Oh man it's weird to see my writing  I am glad you liked it. Algernon was the best for letting me buy it on his card though <3 Otherwise, it definitely wouldn't have been possible. I've done that for a few people now, my gooooooooood it's hard to keep things quiet with all of you fucking gossipers.

Moreso, I look up to you tbh.
You and CJ, I kinda look up to. And Ben too, but not as much.
But as a whole EC is pretty much the reason I can actually go out in public now without freaking.

I've met some amazing people that really helped me through so much. Brett, Kelsey, Phrike, Dalton, they all ended up becoming such great friends. And there are so many more people on here that are just so brilliant, that I'd really like to get to know better. Jess and Chad, for example.
You know, I always come back every now and then to say hi and see how things are, but I always wish I never left to begin with.
