I was thinking about dying my hair some fucking awesome colour that's totally not natural (lol?)

I was thinking a Skyish blue or a bloody rose red.
What are some hair products/brands that are nice colours in blue or red?

Can't help but laugh at the "bloody rose red."
For a split second, I thought it said "bloody nose," and I was like, "Now that's a weird way to describe red..."

God for what you want, but expect your hair to break off and your color to fade after 4-7 washings. Really ain't worth it if you shower every day.

Direction colors are great. You can google.
But when you have darker hair, you need to bleach. Yea, all unnatural colors don't last very long. If you don't wash your hair after dying every day, it will be bright longer.

I don't think she needs to post a picture, she's asking what brands have good colour and last

Yes, she is but this part of her post "What are some hair products/brands that are nice colours in blue or red?", the use of 'nice colours' is highly subjective, what might be nice to one person may not actually suit the OP. Not to mention brands last differently and so on dependant upon the type of hair a person has; even just stating what her hair is like would be better than what the original post is.

I think perhaps I was having a very OFF day when I posted this.
..Yeah, very off day.

First I thank you guys for any and all posts trying to help me. Reading over this all has in alot of ways changed my mind.
All my life Ive had a high reguard for my hair. I always kept it healthy, trimmed, and clean. The thoughts of spending money on a dye [though it is maybe only $7-10] and then in just a few washes it turns out a dull drab colour doesnt really appeal to me.
In the summer the sun tends to lighten my hair and give it different tones and such. sometimes even ending in a dirty- blonde by the end of the year. My hair now is just at its natural color of a dark brown. But sense I went to a place and had them match my natural-root colour I lost alot of my highlights. I thought perhaps adding highlights of lighter brown might just work. but why not put my own "emo" style to it and just change the colour all together?
Maybe I'll be better off just getting a few colorful highlights instead?

I dont know. What are your thoughts on this?

/Highly belated response...

Looks good, from what I can see. Can't really tell if it suits you due to the camera taking up your face.

I'm not sure about fading to dull colours - I dyed my hair electric blue in december and haven't dyed it since. Now my hair's blue underneath and then purple and pink everywhere else... I had a quick bleach bath on wednesday and that's lightened my roots to make them look blonder/more normal and the rest of my hair is now almost neon pink just from fading haha.
The fading entirely depends on the brand, but I used Special Effects hair dye and they have loads of good reviews online, i'd personally vouch for them for being long lasting. Maintenance is another issue however - The dye just keeps coming out, months later i'm still getting blue water in my showers, it's insane. But maybe that's just a testament to it's longevity.

With this kind of thing it's not so much the colour choice...but what you have to do to acheive it. With dark hair like yours, you're going to have to bleach it a lot. For the colour red you don't need to do it as much to get a brilliant result, as for other colours like blue, green, pink, and colours similar (excluding purple) you'll need to bleach your hair to come extent. This can be costly (if you plan to go to a hair dresser) and damage your hair a lot, however you can do it at home which makes things a lot easier.

Also the problem with colours like this is maintaining it, in my experience the colours wash out pretty quickly and don't stay vibrant for long. That's just my experience though...and during that time period I spent a bit on hair products that contain the colour and so on.

As for products...I suggest Manic Panic. They're great with fluro colours, if that's too costly or you can't find it. Try Paint box, I usually buy this at any Hair House Warehouse store.
