So it's the "only" day of the year, or four as it may be, that women can actually propose, and it got me to thinking about it - there is no way in hell I think I could EVER propose to someone. I don't know, maybe it'd be different if you're sure it's gonna happen and you've talked about it before and that's where your relationship is but... just the thoughts of it, EEK! My nerves. I'm pretty much the same about asking people out, or generally making the first move. It's a bit of a stereotype yes, but I would prefer a guy make the first move. I generally don't really believe someone would actually like me until they say it outright... I'd be cool with asking someone for coffee or to hang out more, and I don't care about texting/calling first, any of that shit, but even say: first kiss, I would generally prefer that it be initiated for the very first time by the guy.


How confident are you in all of these love matters, EC? Do you care who does it? And could you propose

Well, he asked to hang out, then I pretty much asked if he was going to be my boyfriend or whatever.

Now the engagement, we were sitting on the bed, and talking, and i just said. "I want to marry you." he was going to end up asking and he was mad (not legitly mad of course), that i beat him to the punch haha. i wasn't really afraid of him rejecting me. This was before i was pregnant too.

but he ended up proposing again one night, after a romantic date, because he'd be damned if i took that away from him lol.

so to answer the question, if I feel it actually get to that point and i didn't have a doubt in my mind, i'd go for it.

I’ve never asked a girl out before so you could say I’m pretty bad at it. I’m pretty socially awkward to be honest but it doesn’t bother me much. I have a small group of friends and we’re all pretty tight. They drag me out to parties or something every once in a while but most of the time I get nervous before going out and really don’t want to go, but they always drag me with them. I have a good time at the party once I’m there but a lot of the time I start thinking I want to be home alone. Sometimes there’s a girl to dance and talk with but nothing ever happens unless the girl makes the first move.

On the other hand I think I could propose to my girlfriend if I was very much in love with her and if we were together for a long time.

its not really that bad. I proposed to my wife when I was 17 I think. when you just know you're ment to be together then its not scary. it just feels right. I knew I was gonna marry my wife when we first met and I wasn't but like 15. asking her is not the scary part, askin her dad is much worse. haha or askin her mom when she kinda has a problem with mood swings. It's a bit complicated with me, when I initiate anything I care a lot about, I try to stay optimistic but at the same time, I expect the worst case scenario so if it goes well, it's always a nice suprise and if it goes not so well, I'm not to upset about it.
