Feminism

you guys seem to be very open minded and willing to hear out peoples sexual dilimmeas and questions about multipule different genders so I hope that you can be open minded about this and hear me out
as a feminist male my view on feminism will be different than those of a female, gay male, bisexual female etc.
We may not always see the power that gender roles play in our society. the number of rapes that still occur- that shit is like iron age problems, you would think our fucking close minded society could be less evil (look up the evolution of rape if you are interested its scary. the rape gene seems to have evolved in this society because of the acceptance of rape and genetic reproductive factors of it in the past)
but i digress
I consider myself a first wave feminist, therefore what we need to create in society is an equal oppornunity society for future women and men to REMOVE EXPECTATIONS of women to be innocent nurtures and men to be agressive reproducers.... A bianary that is so engraned into society that it may go unnoticed to some. We need to break down this idea that men are agressive sexual beings that make all of the money to support the family and have all of the sex drive. Angela Carter has a great novel the bloody chamber that breaks down these bianaries and newly addresses sexuality and desires of females in a form of fairytales definately check it out.
I guess this thread was a little bit of a rant, but mostly intended to be informative for people, and to start a open conversation about gender roles in our society and how we can remove them...

As for feminism and women's movements: there is only one good women’s movement, and I’m deeply involved in it. That is the movement where their back arches up and they hold on to the top of the bed and their eyes roll back. This is the most important women’s movement and everyone should be involved in it.

lolAnd if the majority of the male population didn't sound like sexist pigs then women wouldn't make sweeping generalizations of men

I don't think there are really many men that genuinely think like that, it's usually more of a bravado sort of thing.
I honestly don't care either way the only thing that irritates me is when guys make us sound like we are only for There for one thing....their pleasure. I like respect I like being thought of like I have a brain etc.

but to make a society without gender roles (an equal playing field- a goal of first wave feminism) you cant say that women are oversensative, its the same as saying men are sexual offendors

But some are on both accounts though and with society today being majority conformist we will never be seen as equal we may try but it will never happen
sadly thats probably true. Same thing with the racism card tho. Race will always be something that people take into effect. like me even trying to understand "blackness" to be more aware of it and less closeminded can be racist or offensive... like if i ask my roommate why they dont wash their hair everyday who is african american is seen as racist even if i am making a consious effort to be openminded its still offensive.
Malcomb X said that in order to understand blackness you have to understand whiteness. I couldnt agree with that more
Ummm what more how about RESPECT asshole! Are you serious? And no I don't want complete equality with you assface I just want respect which is also what most women would like if you would get off your damn high horse it'd be simple to do.
And I'm pretty sure you have spell check learn to use it before you make yourself look even more like a dumbass go tirl
you go girl!!!!
i am soo attracted to iLoveMyPetey<3 right now
