She doesn't have it, there was an outbreak of it when she lived in England. It is rare but it is passed by contaminated blood donations. That's why she can't give bloodwow mate I feel sorry for you having Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease I know thats neurological disease and I thought that was incredibly rare in humans

Myself I plan on giving blood but I've always got a tattoo/piercing within the 6 months that I needed to wait
I am an organ donor already, ive a card in my purse for it and it's on my driving licence that I am

i have a very clear thought that if i was sick and needed a transplant i would want someone to help me, so of course if anything happens to me im more than willing to give my organs to someone who with out them would die. i think it would be a bit selfish if i didnt

Do not like needles at all; I passed out the first time I did it. :/
Would I do it in an emergency to save a loved one's life? Sure, I would.

Nice to hear that Jamie and as well everyone else that says yes to it because it really is amazing to do it
"I want to, I like needles and helping people of course. But I'm anaemic."
when I hear I like needles mate that for some reason sounds a bit weird no offense of course and as my last question for you guys on this subject is that would you give up an organ for someone if it ment you dying and them living? (btw put it in the case that you are a normal healthy person)

I'm used to it. :L It's not as bad as it sounds, when most people cringe and faint when having injections or having blood taken, I like how it feels. It's pretty fascinating."I want to, I like needles and helping people of course. But I'm anaemic."

I also have an organ donor card, I'm on the bone marrow register too, so if my bone marrow type is the same as someone in need's, I'll be called up and asked to give it.

I have an organ donor card and I've made it clear to my family and friends that if anything was to ever happen to me I absolutely want everything possible to be donated to someone else if they want it. I don't see the point in NOT being a donor, what use is your heart to you when you're dead? I know some friends who have no issues with being donors but refuse to donate their eyes... I can't say I care all that much. Once I'm dead I'm dead, and I'd prefer to be cremated anyway - so I think whatever organs may be of use may as well be donated, especially if it could potentially help save someones life.

If I died though I'd want them to harvest my organs. Who wants dibs on my lungs? Liver maybe? It's all yours.

Thanks for clearing that up. Yeah, nobody who lived in England for over a year between a certain period can give blood here, it's not just me and I'm pretty certain I don't actually have the disease. It can just lie dormant for decades or something and they can't test for it so they don't want to risk giving someone contaminated blood.
I don't know my blood type, I might ask them to tell me next time I get a blood test done.
