The new project created by a few "members" of Anonymous created a new service called Anontune. It is basically designed to pull songs off third-party sources and let users put them into playlists and share them.

The project was started six years ago:

We would say stuff like, 'People really use YouTube as a music player yet it really sucks for that purpose ... it's too unorganized,'" the anon wrote to Wired. "And then, 'YouTube does make a good music player but you can't play all your songs on it since the obscure ones aren't uploaded,' then eventually, 'Hmmm, what if you were to combine music websites like Myspace, Yahoo, YouTube and others?

CNN Article

You can read the rest of the article for the technical aspects.

The program runs a Java applet, so some people are weary of using the progam.

Is this a program you would so?
If so, do you feel that it is safe to use?

Discuss.

Pretty much what Varg said. Unless, of course, it offered a service similar to that of Mumu player, but improved and the connection didn't cut every 30 minutes. Even then, those plebtopi (plural of plebtopus) are pretty cool looking.. Tough call.
