If that doesn't count...Urm...Maybe sneaking off to some birthday/Halloween party with my mum when I was about three. We weren't allowed to celebrate either. It was awesome.

Actually I remember when my mom got her first mobile phone. It was in a box on top of this piano we used to have, and I asked her what it was. She was resisting new technology at the time and didn't want to use it at first, and I encouraged her to.

That must've been around 2001, not exactly earliest memory but strange nonetheless. Mobile phones were just starting to become widespread. 2001 was probably when we got our first computer, too. I used to use MS paint any opportunity I got, that was extremely exciting for a 7 year old back then! Wow, really strange to think how much things have changed in just around 10 years.
Hmm, I can't really remember what I used to do before I started school. I think most of my earliest memories are school related.
Actually, this was the first cd I ever owned:

oh my god, remember these??

Having chicken pox at three.
Then again, my fourth birthday I think. Spent it in hospital getting my tonsils out. I can vaguely remember being frustrated that noone could understand me, my mother told me I sounded like donald duck and I made absolutely no sense, she was scared she wouldn't ever be able to understand me again. awwww.
I can also remember being 4ish and stealing my mothers Estee Lauder lipstick to take to playschool.

@Dimensional Witch: You used to sneak off to parties as young as three?! That's pretty crazy, I don't think I was even allowed outside of my street until I was 13, then again I did live in a rough area... Escaping my parent's watch was like escaping from Alcatraz in a fluorescent pink suit.
@MidnightTurmoil: How old is 4th Grade? That's young to be making out, I think. I kissed my first girl at 10 though to be fair.
@yinfaitl: Oh my god you just nostalgia'd the thread up. I remember the phone and the game bricks. Specifically there were a tonne of settings you could have on it, 99 I think. The funny part was about 80 of those 99 games were just different versions of tetris
@Jess: That's so cute your mum was worried about you. I used to have asthma pretty bad (it's gone now) and have attacks all the time. It was upsetting for my mum, I'm sure. I don't know why, but every time I have those traditional cough sweets, it reminds me of the time I was in hospital. I think my dad gave me some to cheer me up while I was on a hospital bed or something, the memories are really vague and flaky.
Also: I have a tonne of childhood memories, but I have no recollection of how old I really was, so I usually say "I was 7 when..." when referring to a memory. Anyone else do that or am I just weird?
Also also: I remember this one time I went downstairs at about 5 years old to try a cigarette. I saw my parents do it so I thought it would be cool to pick one up and smoke one. I didn't manage to light it though and I was caught haha

I remember getting my tonsils out when I was three. The medicine made me throw up and they tried to bribe me into taking it by offering me jello if I did (I hate jello). I watched "The Fox and the Hound" on VHS while at the hospital.
I remember breaking a wishbone with my dad when I was three. I wished for a doll.
I remember, again while I was three (although I did it when I was a little older too), lying under the coffee table and drawing pictures with crayons on the underside because I figured my parents would never notice it there. We still have the same coffee table, and you can still see my beautiful artwork if you look under it.

That is so sweet.I remember being 4/5 and in Florida in the sesame st water park and myself and my parents moved from one section to another and I remember not being too happy about that so I went back on my own to the other pool much to my parents dismay haha. I remember my dad being really mad and an american man telling him not to shout/swearing at me, dad laid into him and called him a cunt and everything. I appreciate the memory even more now
This. If I'm talking about a childhood memory, I'll try to kind of locate it and say I was either 4 or 7.Also: I have a tonne of childhood memories, but I have no recollection of how old I really was, so I usually say "I was 7 when..." when referring to a memory. Anyone else do that or am I just weird?
I have a very vague memory of realizing my mom's name isn't "mother"
I can also remember this one time I ate something from the ground and had to take medicinal charcoal. It was mixed in with yoghurt and it tasted awful but I ate the entire bowl without even once admitting I had eaten anything off the ground
Oh and one time, a man offered me cheese in the elevator. I think I was maybe 3 or 4 at the time. I just politely said "No, thank you"

I remember being in nursery and lining up to go to lunch.
I remember being sent to my cot because I was too naughty
I remember moving into my bedroom. I played with my toys on different rungs of the ladder when my Granddad was painting the walls.

Besides that, another early memory is laying with my grandma in a hammock, gazing at the stars and singing songs when I was about three to four. Pretty peaceful memory.
