I find it unlikely that we are the only living/biological creatures in the universe. I find it highly likely that the conditions for life exist elsewhere. I find it highly unlikely that, given conditions that could support life, that life wouldn't form. Life on Earth began relatively early in our planet's history. I find it unlikely that aliens have visited the Earth, given the distances involved. I find it likely that, as with Earth, a wide diversity of life exists, with wide varieties of intelligences. Today I was thinking about the theory that bees communicate using five-dimensional flag manifolds. Perception is everything.

If aliens exist and have the ability to travel to us and we don't have the same technology etc. They're obviously more intelligent than us. If they do exist, I'd never want them to know about our planet, especially if they're anything like us.

There probably some sort of germ or something, like living organisms that would be 'classified' as aliens.. But we surely can't be the only thing in the entire universe, can we?

I think the OP was more about sentient aliens rather than micro organisms, since it's been proven there is bacterial life on Mars.

Aliens could be anything ranging from microbes to fully sapient races, as others have said it would be illogical to assume that we are alone.

Pretty much exactly this.

If the universe is infinite, the chances that we're all there is to it is pretty much zero. But there's no reason to think we would ever be exposed to those other life forms.

Define 'good looking' ? cuz im pretty sure anything that doesnt look human like will be classified as mutant and there for everyone will want it gone or dead.

If anything did land on earth or we did find something that was not from our world wouldn't there be some kind of government cover up??

The feedback is pretty amazing. Maybe it is because almost all of EC are science geeks. Anyway. I've always believed in aliens. Never the way the movies depict them, but like us with little differences, kinda like the book I Am Number Four (the book is much better than the movie, imagine that, by the way). I also I agree with the single cell organism thing that I think one of y'all mentioned.
