Hand in hand,
As the fingers entwine,
Purest of love answers the main demand,
The world slips away, no sense of space or time.

Loving feelings and burning hate,
Mixed emotions fighting to be one,
Souls meet at the touch of fate,
Cannot be removed, cannot be undone.

Truthful words but lying eyes,
Both cause a need to deceive,
One spouts fact while the other defies,
Only the heart knows what to believe.

Anger is shallow but the love is deep,
Fear of the unknown when the spirit gives in,
Confusion rises whether to smile or weep,
Darkens the world but lights a fire within.
