This could be a trick of the mind, a quirk of personality or even something as simple as a freak occurrence, but either way we all have our scepticism, but few of us would be remiss to say we never heard voices in the dark as a kid. As such I want to hear about things you're sceptical about but happen to you anyway;

For me it's star signs, I refuse to accept that my personality is pre-ordained by the positions of celestial bodies that may or may not have already burned out... unfortunately, I'm also the stereotypical Capricorn... but to make matters worse, I'm also a stereotypical Rabbit (my Chinese sign), but I still say it's all hookum, as such Star Signs are bullshit, even if my personality proves otherwise.

I don't believe that anything is impossible. It's a very general belief I know but it's something I don't believe in. How can one refute something as impossible? Maybe something is considered impossible in our lifetime, but that doesn't mean it will become/is possible in the future or in a parallel universe (IT'S POSSIBLE). I probably don't make sense right now haha.

Well, for the more obvious topic on ghostly stuff I can say quite a lot of my family have claimed minor paranormal stuff to do with that, nothing to the extremes of sending people to the looney bin >.< just brief things that were impossible such as seeing a lady cross the hallway and through a wall - the house used to have an extension where the wall was and that's where she apparently hung herself. A lot of my family have mentioned stuff like that >.<

As for star signs I've a little more faith in the chinese honestly because a lot does change every year and your bringing can obviously be effected a little more in that respect, though in general I do wonder if people just identify more with their signs simply because they know it's their sign. Also many of the definitions or horoscopes tend to be quite vague and could apply to a multitude of different people.

My sign does tend to suit me, but it's rarely the only one that does either.

I never really read my star signs ever, I don't pay an ounce of attention to them or think they hold an accurate reflection of who I am or of what is going to happen to me... They seem so general that really you could apply parts of them to anyone. It's also a bit of a nightmare because I'm on the cusp, so when people ask which one I am, there's never exactly a definite answer :P 19th February varies, some say it's aquaries, other pisces, so I never know which I am!

I do actually have a really relevant answer for the topic, for once. I don't believe that very many people are psychic or can read your future or anything like that, but I think I'm going to see one some time next week if we can get a booking, a group of my girlfriend decided to give it a go and do it all together. A friend of mine went and some of the things that she was told do seem very personal alright, again I think they can be very general and applicable to everyone... I wouldn't waste a ton of money on it now and it's not something I'd exactly be clinging on to for hope, but perhaps it'll be interesting to see what she tells me.

EDIT: also, I'm not really sure I believe in 'ghosts' really... but one night last week I bolted up in bed; I was absolutely positive I heard someone say something to me, standing kind of at the side of my bed... It kind of felt like my grandmother as well... It absolutely could have been a dream but I'm not sure it was either, it seemed way too real. It took me quiiiite a few minutes to calm myself down.

I had a friend go do that and come back with similar results... but then some of the results were also false so I'm lead to believe they try to guess and work based off your reactions. That and that people who go forget all the incorrect things. E.G. they mentioned some personal things about my friend's parents which led into more personal things and convinced them... yet on the flip side they said they'd do well in their exams - we don't/didn't have any, but my friend didn't notice the inaccuracy.

Good luck though c:

Speaking of psychics, I keep having random bouts of Deja Vu but it isn't, it's like I'll dream about doing something mundane, walking down a street whilst talking to a friend and like a week later, we'll be walking down that exact street having that exact conversation I dreamed of.

Weird, but I doubt it's anything more then coincidence.

Speaking of that, I have those dreams a lot. It's weird, I don't believe in there being a set future or being able to "read" the future, but it happens a hell of a lot. Sometimes I even try to do something different from the dream I had in an attempt to change the course of what happens, but the same thing ends up happening anyway.

EDIT: also, I'm not really sure I believe in 'ghosts' really... but one night last week I bolted up in bed; I was absolutely positive I heard someone say something to me, standing kind of at the side of my bed... I've had that happen a few times too, except I'm not sure where I stand on believing in ghosts. I doubt they have any business with me if they do exist though. Some ghost said "infinitum" to me, or at least that's what I assumed it was, since Latin isn't anyone in this houses' forté. It still felt like a dream though. I'm not sure if I even knew what infinitum meant back then either, because I Google'd it.

I hope this thread doesn't surface any more shit scary memories I've had.

I don't agree with star signs at all, people compare themselves to a general analysis based on "people in this month seem to have more of this trait". I have read far in depth on Gemini's and whilst some of it relates to me, at the same time a lot of is complete bullshit - it's a hit/miss really. I believe we make our own personalities through experience and environment, not because we were destined to become a certain way. It's more probably the fact that everything is quoted as "they are" rather than "they are probably" that bugs me, but I guess that would then relate to everybody.

I don't believe in hell. I believe in God but I don't take the bible literally i believe that it is flawed just like most religous systems. Thats not to say that God isn't real i believe in Jesus but i'm not going to live by an old book besides the bible was written by humans so what we know about god's perfect word?

I too believe Astrology is a load of crap. The profile descriptions are all very general and can relate to almost anyone. I believe in typology, and although it too is a theory, there is more psychological evidence to back it. I've compared Astrology to Typology and according to my sign - Aries, I should be just about the exact opposite of my type.

Anyway, a friend of mine gets daily horoscope texts via iphone app and tells me how insanely accurate they are. She sent me hers a day we were in a sort of fight or more of a complicated situation involving personal feelings. Even I was shocked at how much it related to me and the very situation we were in. She sent me mine as well and it too was a little creepy. Although it told me to "get my beauty sleep as I'm encountering new oppurtunities" and that was the one night I stayed up the entire night. Yeah, fuck horoscopes.
