You have to say something to be noticed, you must raise valid points.
If you haven't said anything how do people know that you're pretty okay to talk to?
But if you have said something and it was 'trolled' or something, then they are probably just ignoring you in hopes you go away.

I'll talk to the newbies who seem interesting, but there hasn't been many of those. These are the newbies who don't happen to have BVB or BOTDF as favourite bands or aren't even emo themselves. Just many of the newbies are a walking cliche.

The reason most members don't talk to the newbies is because they think they'll leave soon and just don't bother anymore.

Joining this sight has been pretty cool but also lonely... Im a newbie and im courious.... Is it just tradition or silent treatment... Please dont fight on who is right or wrong.... Im just wanting to hear your opinions
Well, for one, you have only four posts. I've never even heard of you or seen our username around the forums, so the most likely explanation as to why people may be ignoring you is because they just haven't seen your posts. Give it time. I was a nobody for my first thousand posts or so, until you start chatting with other members, starting conversations and getting yourself involved, people won't know who you are.

As forzare said, you have 4 posts OP, you're not being ignored, you just haven't made enough of an impression to be noticed.
I joined another forum in February and people definitely didn't pay me any attention after 4 posts, but I now have over 1,000 and I'm a "regular" on there. You just have to keep posting and put yourself out there.
If you're just looking for friends and don't want to be part of the forum... I think there's some sort of underground community of emo kids who just comment each other all the time, I've caught glimpses into it every so often but well...suffice to say, that's not for me. Maybe comment some people who seem interesting if that's the kind of thing you're looking for.

If you are looking for emos then there are some around here but a majority of the users here aren't Emo anymore. Hence the name change.Um thanks. For the advice. All of you are great. I made this post. BC I was talking to another newbie and he or she said they were getting silent treatment from older adult. Emos. . I told him or her not to take it personally. And it takes a while to make friends. Please don't think I've been complaining. I enjoy reading y'alls opinions. Y'all. Are pretty. Cool for a bunch of Enos XD

Not sure if I can be considered an original and I am not emo, like I said a majority of the members here aren't actually Emo but they are good people none the less, as long as you aren't a walking cliche that is.Wby. Are you an original adult emo?

If someone is cliche they are basically living up to a stereotype , as for you being cliche then I wouldn't know as I have yet to see how you act. I'm sure you will be fine though. What's a cliche? Hopefully I'm not that ... am I?

I think you gotta make yourself more out there. When I first joined here through one of my best friend's son.
I wasn't actually an emo kid per-say, I was just here to check them out. Like a spy ya know?
Then I just started meshing with the older members or so I think... the important part is to remember it is the internet don't be overly nervous.
It is a forum site you know? Grow some, hang around, know how to type decently and bring decent discussions to the table and you'll be good don't go out of your way to get their acceptance if they bring up a topic. Something about music, politics, religion and etc and give your two scents about it...sometimes its better to go with the majority then the minority but I think if you bring up valid facts you should be alright.
Just get out there ya know if you're just lurking you'll never get anyone to really know who you are.
