I honestly think that was one of the best things Jessica has instituted. With the shoutbox now gone, I think it would be a good way to get some of the newbies integrated into this forum. It seemed to work pretty well the first time around. I wasn't sure if Jessica and the moderators were interested in bringing it back for a second go around. :)

I think it'd be a good idea. I wasn't involved the first time but I feel like it was a good system. But then, I didn't know it was gone and I certainly don't know why, so obviously I might be wrong in this.

It was so long ago. And some of the members involved in it the first go around aren't even around anymore. That's why I suggested to have a second go at it.

I wanted to find a way to get some of the newbies who are uncertain about staying to stay. Sometimes, it's nerve-wracking as a newbie to PM a regular member. They're afraid they might be ignored, or the regular member could be mean to them. This is a way to make the newbies comfortable. I'm sorry but the shoutbox wasn't the way of going about doing that.

It never ended, people just stopped using it, the shoutbox contributed towards that. However a new thread with the members updated could be a good idea. Alright, shall we say, anyone wanting to be a part of the updated system, quote me here and write a little sentence or so about yourself like in the old thread so we know who to add.

P.S I'm sure I saw in the shoutbox one night Mike saying 'If you get rid of the shoutbox you may as well close EC.' ;)
