Hey, at least now if anyone asks you can say you didn't have a hand in it. Let the other guy deal with any derision.
Anything you write (almost) anywhere is automatically copyrighted to your name as soon as you write it.Note to OP:
1. Go here: http:www.booksie.com
2. Create an account.
3. Post all you writings there before anyone else.
Booksie copyrights your work to your name as soon as you post it. And they're serious about keeping it that way.

Was aimed atthe op more than it was at yourself, but you contributed towards my hatred of people as wellWhys that exactly? I did a little digging and I can't find the poem on any other site except that one. So as far as I can tell its her own work.

You guys are such cunts sometimes (well, always), but this is a special 'shame on you' finger-wag for the people who have posted and are poets or writers themselves, I know damn well most of you would be emotional messes if it was YOUR work that was stolen and noone had any sympathy.
OP, you could've dealt with this much better, simply by mailing our poetry sub-mod. Once we find work elsewhere on the internet, you do have to prove it's yours, it's just a precaution we take because as a group, we just can't stand plagiarism.
I don't write poetry myself, but I can only imagine how horrible it would be to have your work stolen.
