A little back story:

So im studying graphic design, and im in my last semester. ive just been given a new assignment which quite literally states do what you want about what you want however you want to do it.
So i decide to do it on transhumanism. i like entertaining the idea of it.
I start doing some research into it, and while im watching a documentary, it shows a picture of a still from a film (showing a man's face), plus the image taped from a cats brain, while it was looking at said image. it put the two images side by side, and of course theres noise and loss of quality to the image from the cats brain, but what it showed was not in fact two images of an image of a man, but an image of a man, and an image of a cat-like man. heres the excerpt:

and before you start saying the documentary is prejudiced and one-sided, i understand that. doesnt stop it being a good doco.

Anywho, it reminded me of an idea i often had while i was a kid:

what if, that grass was actually blue, but i was told blue was green because thats how i was taught. because really, if my blue is your green, and youve taught me that blue is green, then i will know to call blue green. get your head around that one for a second.
now, i decided to do some research into this area, just to see what i could find, and i came across another forum, socialphobiaworld, where someone was talking about altered perceptions of reality. it didnt so much discuss the sky being orange or anything, but it did bring up an interesting thought that i also had felt many times, and actually spent long periods, months even, analyzing and notating (bear in mind that this is hazardous to your health and mental well being).
What it discussed was a neutrality, or objectivity of consciousness, where you can view society and reality from a neutral standing, like a form of enlightenment or mental ascension.
So my question to you all is this:

Have you in any way shape or form experienced or thought about any of the above, and of so, how did it happen, and what did you feel?

I don't feel so alone anymore :D I've had thoughts like these sometimes and I never knew how to classify them. I just thought I was weird and lonely for thinking these things. And for some reason the example you provided about the grass being actually blue but classified as "green" is one of the thoughts I've had, but not grass, just color in general. Like I said it made me feel weird and I feel that if I brought this topic up with a teacher (science most likely) he or she would probably mock me or just think of me as strange. I don't mind being thought as strange but it would make me feel lonely in my mind :(
