Visual Kei

Personally, I think it's interesting.
The androgynous look is so theatrical and confusing. Confusing in a good way, of course.
The makeup, clothes, and hairstyles are great too.
Most importantly, every band I see that is visual look like they could be characters in Final Fantasy or something of lesser awesomeness.

And to be honest, even most of the best Japanese bands rip seven shades of piss out of it.
Also whilst I'm a fan of theatrics in my music (Cooper, Loaf, Maiden et'al), it should never come at the expense of the music, VK is very much about the look and not the music.
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAND before all you ravening fans of it come out and tell me I'm wrong, bare in mind, I'm a recovered Otaku, I was immersed in this culture long whilst you guys thought 4Kids was the actual production company behind Pokémon. I know what I'm talking about and these days can do so objectively.

I love VK. One of my favourite bands is the GazettE which is VK rock band~
Of course, the GazettE. Do you know any other VK bands that aren't entirely stripped?
Also, VK is entirely about the look. That doesn't change the band that chooses to do VK.
Their looks do not make their music.

Fucking chinks, disgusting.
I believe the term you used there was not correct.
Perhaps "Japs" is what you meant.

If it's unclear to anyone, I obviously like visual kei. Not completely obsessed with the genre but visual kei has produced us some incredible artists. I actually quite like the way it doesn't constrict the music and allows the artists to create and experiment. And I always love a good live show.
Because there isn't really a definition of visual kei music, I think it's stupid to say the music is altogether horrible. A lot of it is mainly theatre but many of the artists are actually amazing musicians.

Fucking chinks, disgusting.
I loled, heartily
No opinion on Visual Kei unless it applies to bands like UVERworld or Back On. In which case I like it. Most of the J-pop and K-pop I listen to is from anime/manga/manhwa. Then theres PSY.

4Kids dubbed Pokemon?
OT: It looks cool. The only music I really listen to atm is the openings/endings of anime, and songs I like from AMV's, so I doubt I've ever heard any of the bands, though.

Azrael was the one a year or so back to introduce me to visual kei and I still kinda like a few bands.
