Little things that may not even sound all that exciting, but fill you with such an utter sense of excitement that a 5 year old would look at you and say "dude, calm down". Please, tell me how sad you are EC - I don't care if it's a new game release, or something most people don't even consider, never mind look forward to! gogogo.

Right now, I am 2 hours and 2 minutes away from winning an ebay auction. It's even more thrilling because the thing I'm buying is hedonistically, painfully cheap for what it is. I am trying to repress the urge to refresh every 5 seconds :(

Other things that make me stupidly excited is: one of the days of the weekend off work, because it rarely happens (I had yesterday off :o ) or that feeling of knowing you have an incredibly delicious lunch awaiting you :D

Errrhh, a bass is selling on ebay. I have contemplated selling my girlfriend, my friend, my friend's sister, and my friend's dog, so I could bid on it because I am so ridiculously crazy over it, even though it is just a piece of wood. I got "the look" from all of them.

+Whenever I have ordered a book online and it arrives in the mail;
+Whenever I enter the animal home and see the dogs;
+Whenever I see a grebe or a duckling;
+Whenever I get a handwritten letter from a friend;
+Whenever I win an eBay auction.

Right now, I am 2 hours and 2 minutes away from winning an ebay auction. It's even more thrilling because the thing I'm buying is hedonistically, painfully cheap for what it is. I am trying to repress the urge to refresh every 5 seconds :(

Don't get your hopes up. The way most people do eBay auctions is to bid an amount that is a good deal higher in the last ten seconds or less. Bidding earlier than that is needlessly raising the price.

I wouldn't sell the dog to just anybody, they would have to be checked out first. I'm not that cruel of a person.

But I can't doooo that. I'll be in work then! :( I do have a maximum bid set up that is significantly higher than what it is now. Those fuckers better stay away.

... I don't suppose anyone wants to crash ebay for the next... *checks* hour and 42 minutes?

Also, getting mail in general excites me terribly. I don't care what it is - it is admittedly a bit of a let down when it's something ridiculous like a bank statement :P But seeing your name on an envelope still excites me, especially if it's a letter. SQUEE! Or getting presents in the mail is great, just because you have absolutely no idea. There's something about sitting there with the box <3

I get way to excited when I see someone I know. It doesn't matter if I saw them two days ago, or two years ago. I still jump up and down and squeal like a little girl and hug them.
Ugh way to excited, it's sad.

-Getting mail.
-Watching the final seconds of something you're downloading: whether music or film. There's a satisfaction knowing it's going to finish in a matter of seconds.
-Winning an eBay auction.

I'll omit the things that make me moderately excited, and keep the things that make me utterly ecstatic.

First, and probably the most exciting thing is getting new additions to my drumkit. The last time I got a real good addition was my 12" Oriental cymbal, holy shit I was so excited I absolutely love it. And when I got a new snare head, you better believe I played that kit for hours and hours on end that day, I love new sounds to add to my kit, it's the best. Fucking love drumming.

I get really excited whenever I've ordered something from Amazon, even if it's something like a mouse mat I still wait in eager anticipation for my package to arrive. Combine that with the fact I love opening packages and presents and you've got one happy feller.

I also love it when I find a new band that I really like and enjoy, or I rediscover an old band that I used to listen to, but wasn't quite into. So much so, that I go on a total binge and listen to hours and hours worth of their songs, until I've listened to just about every one of them. The last band I did that with was Bush, a band I had previously not paid much heed to.

Finally, I always have an air of excitement about me whenever and old friend is coming to visit me, or I'm having a really passionate conversation with a friend I see day to day. Small talk is all good and well, but when shit gets deep and serious, it makes me happy inside to be so close to someone.

Oh, and when someone's really excited about something, their excitement kind of rubs off onto me and I get all pumped up for it too.

Christmas :3 (I know it's not exactly a silly thing, but the amount that I get excited over christmas is rather silly)

A new book always thrills me.

- Ordering books, I'm literally stalking the postman until it arrives.
- Stationary shopping. (Especially when I get to buy a new fountain pen, or if they release a new one.)
- Going to the library
- When there is a new episode of The Mentalist.

Seconded! I love that feeling of getting the whole costume together. :D I never want to take them off. >..< Especially my Grell one. XD I came home in it, minus the wig and coat, from the last convention. Getting photographed with other people in cosplay is awesome, too. XD

Urm....So many. >.< Too many things.
Same as apparently everyone here; getting the things I order from Amazon/ebay.
Buying manga. X33 I have to look through the pages straight away. Buying books. Actually...buying anything new.
When something I'm making is complete, and looking at the finished result. Even if it's not that good.
Finding new awesome songs/AMV's/anime's to obsess over.
Someone else watching an anime with me.
Getting replies texts, messages on the internet, replies in the rps, etc. etc. etc. And thinking of what to write back.
Anime conventions.
Seeing my friends.

Finally, I always have an air of excitement about me whenever and old friend is coming to visit me, or I'm having a really passionate conversation with a friend I see day to day. Small talk is all good and well, but when shit gets deep and serious, it makes me happy inside to be so close to someone.

^^This especially. I love those conversations.

Urm.....There are probably billions more. D:

Oh, that's definitely me too :lol: Or when you're in a restaurant and waiting on your food to come, especially if it's a new place and you have no idea what it looks like. I'm like some kind of toddler looking around, 'ooooooh, is that it? IT'S COMING!'

I LOVE going stationary shopping. I spend at least €50 every time, and I don't even know what on. But I always have at least 10 different colour pens, with all of the tipex and highlighters (usually in six different colours) and those coloured mini-post its you can use to mark a page of a book with... <3 Oh YAY. Stationary shopping will be coming up soon! And I love getting new paper notebooks, especially that first page when you write on it. mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

Another thing that greatly excites me is going through my Wish List on Amazon, which I keep as a handy list for myself. It currently holds exactly 880 articles (all books). Going through it... I'm a child again.

I think you're my stationary soul-mate. <3

I can understand spending a lot in stationary stores though, ink is so darn expensive! Ink that works well for my pens is £2.50 for just a pack of four cartridges, which sucks and I go through like four packs in a month. I'm constantly having to buy loads. But other than that, I just adore buying coloured pens and pencils, highlighters, coloured note paper and sticky notes. God, it's so darn hard to stop at just that. I always want to get more paper and notebooks. :3 I don't write on the first page, ever, haha. I refuse to, I just don't like how it looks. :lol: I need to buy a new fountain pen this year, I haven't found the perfect one that can replace my special silver one that I had almost six years ago. Sigh.

I'm also incredibly excited when I go to Sayers and they just bring out a fresh batch of cookies or doughnuts, and I get to be the first. Or when the Magic Doughnuts stall is set up in town, and I watch them make my doughnuts right there and gaaah.

Pretty much anything book-related. Buying books, checking books out at the library, browsing books online/at the store/at the library, finding new books, rediscovering old books, shelving my own books and creating papers to keep track of them. :3
