Sooooo recently my female friend got herself tight black jeans and turned them into "punk" jeans by adding and stiching those punk red check pattern; a year ago she was into emo lifestyle, now she "transformed" into punk girl, she still wears check and striped hoodies, which are associated with emo fashion (if you disagree i'm cool with that, i aint saying that punk's cant wear striped hoodies), so after consulting my idea of some-how copying her, i told her that i like those jeans and might make myself one, then she rammed my self esteem about that by calling me a poser and that i can't mix punk and emo, eather im punk or emo, no inbetween, so i'm asking you, my beloved forum users/friends, is it fake/poser -ish from me to wear any "punk" jeans or punk band cloathing, i have social anxyety and ocd so toughts of others realy matters to me, i really like the look of black and red check pattern.
NOTE: That my female friend dont own that jeans anymore, and the fact i have bangs and kind-of emo hair. Please help im so in doubt i dont wanna be called a poser, it looks good thats all, sorry for the long post, thanks for reading.

Sincerely: Filip

No, you can't. It's literally impossible to do. I wouldn't even bother trying.

You did point out the irony of a person dressed like a punk dictating terms of fashion and lifestyle to someone right?

You know, the kind of action that's the antithesis of punk culture, thusly making her a poseur.

Hell why do you even care what that person thinks, they obviously missed the entire point of alt. culture and if you're worried about what they think, you're clearly not getting it either. Just wear what you think looks good and makes you happy and if others can't dig that, well that's their problem not yours, if they'll call you a poseur for it, their the ones who are faking not you and it might be worth reminding them of that fact.

Honestly? i think you should dress how you want. I know that the wortld has "set standards" for fashion, and to mix them is "uncool", but it can be fun to wear things from different styles at once. Take Harajuku, for example. That style basically looks at each style and goes "Oooh I like that skirt! Oooh, that blouse is cute! Oh, and what about those cyber-punk boots? :D"

Mixing styles is cool, I think. It shows you have the courage to be different and that in itself is very respectable~!

Wear what you want how you want.

Stop trying to label yourselves in the end, it doesn't even matter.

Also, your friend, clearly isn't a good one if she's calling you fake/poseur.

Mix and match, do whatever you want with it. Seriously, fashion is only passing and so there's no use trying to fit into what everyone else is doing. Wear what you want simply because you want to wear it, and not simply because you're hoping somebody else notices.
