Basic Plotline:

It's the year 2369, world war 3 has just finished (about 5 years previous) however, a lot of the bigger countries (USA, China, Japan, UK) used bio-chemical warfare. Meaning a lot of life-threatening illness/diseases were manufactured, and some of them amalgamated and caused a lot of problems. The island where they were keeping war prisoners had picked up one of these hybrid diseases, and it spread like wildfire. No one was allowed to leave, not even the guards or people who'd lived on the Island originally, the Secret Government Alliance (SGA) came together with all the continents after war had subsided, and gave it a Class 1 zone, meaning no one went in, and no one left. This was their only way of being able to keep it contained. 

However, things begin to change, someone outside "Zombie Island" has somehow contracted it, and is spreading through New York City, the whole city has been put on lock-down, but the only cure was kept on a secret base on "Zombie Island". None of the SGA are willing to go and get it, so they have put out a call, for a group of 5-10 people to go to Zombie Island and retrieve it. Upon completion they will be paid a reward of $1million.

Technology:

There is advanced technology, plasma grenades/guns. Supercomputers, micro-technology, advanced bio-chemical knowledge, Space travel... and more. 
The Humans on Earth have extensive astro-particle usage. There is a lot of other-worldly materials. Such as stones, gems, dust etc. There are many possibilities, if you want to know if something else is accepted, just describe it and I'll make a judgement based on the RP specifications. Or I'll flip a coin if I can't decide, then it's fair and unbiased. Just the luck of a turn! 

Rules and Regulations: 

1. As with all RP's standard forum rules apply.
2. No GodModding, you will not be invincible, you're not completely in charge of all plot twists
3. If someone is planning a plot-twist, please don't spoil it, let it play out, by all means add to it, but don't completely destroy it. 
4. Any major plot twists, please post here before throwing straight into the RP, of course, to keep things surprising, I might just throw one in later in the RP which I have already decided, but I don't want to spoil them, so we'll just have to wait and see what that is! 
5. Real-Life Logic and Knowledge please leave at the door, it's not welcomed here.
6. No Fairies, Demons, Witches, Vampires, Werewolves Etc. 
7. Alien/Human hybrids are welcome, if discussed first.
8. Even though, it is a Zombie RP, gore is okay, but not too excessive. 
9. This is the most important rule of them all : HAVE FUN!

Name: Charles "Chuck" Walker
Age: 24
Gender: Male 
Appearance: 6'4". Around 200 pounds. Short brown hair, clean shaven. Athletic, but not ripped. Work attire consists of White button up shirt, black pants and tie.
Job: Advanced Technical Repair. (Computers, Plasma Weaponry, Comm devices, electrical, not so much mechanical [Space Ships/Cars/Engines/etc.])
Personality: Kinda your average Joe. Somewhat introverted, but believes the best in people. Always tries to find the non-violent solution to problems. Highly Curious.

Background: Grew up in a good home a decent part of NY. Had good parents, and a 2 loving sisters, one older (Kelly), one younger (Carrie). Graduated with a degree in computer science, and a masters in advanced electrical sciences. Spends most of his days working by answering house calls around New York and fixing broken down equipment. If it's electrical, Chuck is your guy. Always wanted to travel, but never really left the state.
Other info: Has Vast knowledge of anything electrical, including some modern weaponry. Machines and Engines puzzle him, but if it's wiring, computer, communication, or electrical of any sort, Chuck is your man. No combat experience what-so-ever.

 

Big sense of loyalty to family. Especially his remaining sister. (See below)

Reason for signing up: Younger sister was contracted with disease in the city, and shipped to an unknown government facility for testing. Chuck was told that his younger sister, Carrie, did exceptional in school, and was transferred to a better learning program. However, considering that Chuck helped her with a large amount of her school work, he had his doubts. when he found out about what really happened, he would do anything possible to help his sister. Thus, why he signed up.

Appearance: 
Job: (if applicable) She did serve in the army for a year before war ended as a gunman, she now works in a hospital treating people affected by illnesses caused through the war. 
Personality: She can be soft and loving, but has a hard exterior, some what of a lonely inclosed person, but if she's comfortable being around someone she will open up to them and be happy enough. 
Background: She lost her family to a disease spread by the Russians called "RusOmega" a deadly illness that there had been no cure to at the time. She hadn't been at home when they contracted it as she had been out serving in the army. When she returned home she was informed of the news that her whole family had been wiped out. It still infuriates her now that she wasn't there to save her family.
Other info: After loosing her family she moved to the USA where she now works in the hospitals.
Country of Origin: Korea
Reason for signing up: She was asked to for her medical knowledge, so if anyone gets hurt on the mission she can help them. Also because of her training in battles. She agreed for the fact she can stop happening to other families what happend to hers.

Maria had finished her packing of clothes and supplies, she called the cab to take her to the military base where they would be flying out from. She had been a little apprehensive about agreeing to go, but she knew there was a whole city who would be relying on her and her team,so in the end she'd agreed to go with the team.  She got to the military base and saw that there was a few hours before their flight was scheduled to leave for the Island. She sat in the waiting room, wondering who else would be going, and if they would turn up at all.

Chuck, head held high and posture upright, looks into the mirror at his reflection. "Clothing? check. Snacks? check. Charges for various devices? check. Devices? check. Okay I think that covers it". His mental check list is thorough, but needed. He grabs his bags, and heads to the door. Keys, Wallet, Phone? Got it. Chuck heads out the door and into his car, and drives to the airport.

 

Upon arrival, he checks in his bag as normal, and heads through security. Airport security has always made him a bit nervous, but he had nothing to hide. He finds his terminal, and grabs a seat in the waiting room.

Maria saw the someone else come into the waiting room. She smiled at him softly, she wasn't one for engaging in conversation unless someone else started it first. There was various safety announcements over the airport tannoy. Maria shifted in her seat a little, she'd been sat for a while and was beginning to go numb.

Name: Shana Martin
Age: 22
Gender: Female
Appearance: Tall, with dark blonde hair and brown eyes. She has a graceful figure.
Job: (if applicable) Military Nurse, now Hospital Nurse
Personality: Friendly and kind, but she is stubborn and strong.
Background: She was raised in a below-poverty-line family and put herself through med school before joining the Marines. While overseas, her sister (her only relative) was killed by one of the diseases.
Other info: She has both medical and combat training.
Country of Origin: USA
Reason for signing up: has nothing to lose, and wants to beat the disease that killed her sister.

Shana checked her bags and then left to wait in the waiting area. It was a dismal looking day, perfect for the occasion. Whatever happens, she thought. I have to do my best and protect my team if need be. I come last. The Marines trained me well for a reason they couldn't have known of. She took a seat nearly across from a young woman and a few seats down from a young man.

Chuck catches the eye of a woman sitting across from him, and smiles at her. Another girl joins the waiting room. Chuck looks at his watch. 8:47. The plane didn't leave till 9:30. And having been up late packing and shutting down equipment, Chuck was very tired. He then noticed a McDonald's just down the path. He looks at the girl across from him, who was there upon his arrival. Having never seen her before, Chuck smiles and says: "I'm going to go get some coffee. Do you want anything? Also, can you watch my bags?"

Maria smiles at the man sat across from her "Coffee, I'll give you the change if you want? And sure I'll mind your bags" she said sweetly. She'd never even seen him before, but he seemed nice enough. "I'm Maria" she added.

Shana looked up when the exchange began. After the man left, she spoke.
"Hello. I'm Shana Martin. Nice to meet you." She could not travel without conversation of some sort. She smiled, welcoming but reserved.

Personality: Sweet, caring. She doesn't care what people think of her, but she will stand up for what she believes in. She is probably one of the most loving persons you will ever know. If someone is in trouble she will try her best to help them. If you piss her off though there is no stopping her, good luck.
Background: She grew up everything being handed to her, and she hated it. When she was a child she was kicked in the head buy a horse and was in a coma for almost two years, when she woke up her parents became super protective of her.
Other info: Jess ran away when the war was over, she learned to fight and take care of her self, she is knows how to fight with knifes and swords, doesn't like guns.
Country of Origin: U.S.
Reason for signing up: Needs the money to stay alive.

 

Jess made her way through the airport and finally found where she had been told to go and found a seat near a group of people who seemed to be getting to know each other. She watched as a man left then looked down and hid her face in her hair. She opened her coat a little and straightened out her cloths.

"Nah, don't worry about it" Chuck replies. "It's a pleasure to meet you Maria, I'm Chuck." He then turns and goes to the Mcdonald's. He stands in line patiently, waiting for his turn to order. The lady behind the counter was really friendly.

"Hi, Welcome to McDonald's, can I have your order?" She asks.
"Sure, can I get two medium coffees please?" Chuck responds.

"Sure, that will be $4.34"

Chuck opens up his wallet, and grabs his debt card. He swipes and enters his pin, and waits for the coffees to be ready." A few minutes later, he grabs them, and heads back to his seat, noticing that a few others had joined the group. He hands Maria's coffee to her.

 

"Here you are, freshly made, just for you." he smiles.

Maria smiled sweetly as Chuck handed her the coffee "Thanks Chuck, sweet of you to make sure of that" she said with a slight giggle and then took a sip of her coffee. For take-out coffee it was pretty nice. There was 4 of them now, and only half an hour or so until they'd be boarding the plane. She wondered if anyone else would turn up. "So what would you usually be doing instead of buying girls coffee, Chuck?" she asked. He seemed interesting and she wanted to get to know the people she'd be working with. The other two hadn't said much if anything since they got there.

"Hello." Shana said to their newest arrival. "I'm Shana. Nice to meet you." She spoke neither fast or slow, simply confident this time.

Jess jumped a little when the girl spoke to her, she looked over at her and smiled softly, "Jess... Nice to meet you too.." She said softly and extended her hand to the Shana to shake her hand. 

She caught the tail end of the other conversation and smiled to herself, from what she had always seen, guys like that always bought girls coffees. 

"Do you think this will be a long flight?" She asked the girl with the coffee, she seemed to know a little bit more about all this.

"Not a problem" Chuck says to Maria. "It's early, and we're all a little tired."

 

He smiled and noticed that our numbers had been going. He found it interesting that he was the only guy thus far. For such a dangerous mission, you would expect maybe a military veteran or something. He shrugs and drinks his coffee. Warm and refreshing, just how he likes it. He perks up to Maria's question and laughs.

"Electrical Repair." Chuck says. "If it runs on electricity, and it breaks, I can fix it."

She returned the handshake. "Lieutenant in the US Marine Corps." She explained. She wondered if the mission was really so small that they would be the only ones going. She took rapid mental notes on the conversation that the man and the other woman were having, evaluating the situation as always was her practice.

Maria looked at Chuck and smiled. She turned to see the girl, whom she'd overheard was Jess. " We're looking about a 4 hour flight minimum... this place is well.... far away." she replied, not knowing if she was allowed to give a lot away or not, and not wanting to be disciplined before they'd even got on the plane. 

Maria turned back to Chuck as he replied to her question. "Ooh well that sounds exciting. So if the plane decided to break down, you would be able to fix it then?" she asked with a small smile which didn't quite reach her mouth. Maria knew that on these sorts of things, the transportation wasn't always reliable, so if they had someone who had half a clue, they'd be a lot better off.

"Planes aren't really my forte" Chuck replied. "I'm better with computers, security cameras, holographic tables, plasma radiation, fusion cells...you get the picture." The thought of the plane falling was unsettling to him. But the way he saw it, the pilots do their job, just as he does his. He's played some flight simulator games, but those aren't nearly the same as flying a real plane.

"Ah, I do... so you're one of those nice people who come and fix the things that break in the hospitals are you not? or do you just usually fix office-y things?" Maria asked, he seemed nice enough, she looked at the time, there wouldn't be long now before they'd be boarding the plane. She was nervous, and a little unsettled. She hated flying, but she knew she had to do this, it would save so many people.
