(Sorry for the bad post quality. I'm on mobile and I don't think EC likes separate paragraphs.)

With a one minute ETA to their RV point, Carl and Vega suddenly felt their comms buzz to life. Normally they turned them off if they were on nonessential detail, so for ICC commanders to remotely activate a com by use of an urgently stamped message meant something important. Sure enough, there was a report of an arson in progress. They exchanged excited glances and yanked back the charging handles of their weapons, then as soon as the waypoint was marked on their heads up displays, they broke into a full sprint. Rounding the corner, they saw a shop ablaze. Strung up overhead were human shaped figures that stopped Rick's heart cold until he flicked his vision setting to thermal. No body heat, and they were washboard stiff. Mannequins. It could have been worse.

"This is Sabre team," he said into his mic. "We're on scene and need fire control on our GPS."

During their wait, they would secure the sight until fire arrived. The bastards already burned a building down, he wouldn't be surprised if they were intent on adding assault to their records too, and God forbid it turned out to be a first responder.

Jackal had been in the process of lighting another cigarette, before teleporting himself and Kit out of the area. But running footsteps alerted him to the approaching ICC, and he quickly grabbed his companion and teleported them to a nearby rooftop.

From there he watched the two with a satisfied smirk. "They look pissed off," he whispered triumphantly. But for them to have arrived on the scene so fast...He must have made an error in his judgement. Either the smoke had rose further and faster than he had anticipated, or he hadn't checked properly to make sure the street was deserted. One of their friends must have been nearby. Or two, there were a number of ICC agents working in pairs lately, which was why he used two mannequins.

If they had been seen, their identities would go on the wanted list, and he would have put Kit's life in danger all for a little vandalism.

He looked around again, trying to catch sight of any movement on the other rooftops.

Just then, however, a window shattered below them, and a body burst through the glass, followed by a mass of grey. The grey person hit the ground with a metallic clunk, crushing a camera in their left hand; the other person, who was wearing a uniform similar to the two ICC agents, had been slashed across the throat by something extremely sharp, and was dead.

The grey person got to their feet, allowing the grey to recede back to a point on the back of their neck, revealing them to be an old, fragile looking man. However, he had just proved me was not fragile at all.

Jackal's eyes widened with horror, and he had to resist the temptation of teleporting back to the ground. It would do no good now. The old man; the owner of the cigarette shop, who the ICC already suspected, was going to be caught right there and then, and the only thing throwing himself between the man and the two agents would achieve, would be getting himself caught or killed along with him.

The old man rounded on the two agents, his eyes tired but determined. "This is my last act of defiance," he said quietly to them.

{Ah. It's unfinished but I have to go I'm late for a meeting I completely forgot about. X3 Basically the old man is taking the blame for the vandalism.}

Vega spun around at the sound of shattered glass and a thud that was loud enough to be a vehicle collision. From the corner of his eye, he could see Carl had done the same. "No visual," Rick shouted, weapon sighted on the street corner.

Grayson shifted to the side, pressing himself against a wall. "I got a casualty. Unknown."

Rick was about to ask if he was still moving when suddenly an old man rounded the corner, clothes dirtied and an expression that he couldn't discern between rage and sorrow.

"This is my last act of defiance," he said.

It was then that Vega recognized his voice. Grayson was already shouting for the man to get on the ground. Peering through his rifle scope, Rick saw the man's face. The cig store owner. Rick was a frequent customer, in fact he had bought an electronic vapor cigarette from the man not long ago. No way, Rick thought. No way in hell.

"Get down!" Carl shouted again, his voice finally coming through to Vega. "On the ground or we will open fire!"

Rick looked between Grayson and the old man, troubling the idea of turning a blind eye, but he knew by now the charges were too high to let the man go. Posing himself as a threat, Rick, on a clean conscience, couldn't let him stay on the loose.

"Do as he says," Vega said in a cooler tone. "You don't have to make this any worse than it is."

The old man took a few steps closer to the agents, his eyes locked on their weapons. "You couldn't kill me if you tried," he responded. His tone was not challenging however, he kept his voice matter-of-fact. "I can turn any part of my body into the strongest of metals in less time than it takes to pull a trigger."

He wasn't going to attempt to kill them, either. Jackal knew that the only reason he had killed the other agent was because he had seen too much, and would put Kit and his own lives in danger. Even from so far away, Jackal could see the cigarette shop owner's heart breaking from what he had just done.

"You children make no sense to me," the man continued, taking another step towards them. He had already seen one of the men hesitate, and knew they were doing what they believed was right, and that made it impossible for him to be angry with them. "Do you have a real reason for trying to hunt us down, or are you just following the orders of some coward hiding behind his desk, fearing anyone with a bit more strength than him?" He narrowed his eyes, and with dignity, lowered himself to the ground about a foot away from them. "I'll take any punishment I get for this crime, but in return, even if you hunt down every last one of us, remember we're still human."

Jackal swore under his breath, but kept his expression neutral. He saw the old man glance subtly up at the building he and Kit were hiding on, and he wished he could trade his power of teleportation, for one of time travel. But that wasn't going to happen, he thought bitterly. All he could do was make sure the ICC paid for this.

As the man was approaching, Carl cursed himself for not having armor piercing rounds, but by the time he knelt down and surrendered it didn't matter. Rick had to wave his more trigger-happy partner off when he took a drastic step toward the suspect. Vega knew that he was the only one he could trust with this guy.

Slinging his weapon, he had Carl cover him as he aproached the man with a pair of cuffs. Approaching the man, the metal alloy that composed the restraints started to hum softly, already attuning to the man's destinct cell make-up and working to disable his power. ICC research claimed the nullifying material was derivative of a vaccination they were working on for Abnormals, but all Vega knew was that they worked.

Gently, he brought the man to thr ground, rested a knee on his shoulders, and applied the cuffs. Stepping away from the man, he readied his weapon again and nodded to Carl that he was clear. "Go check on that casualty."

Graysone carefully made his way down the street, scanning the ground and the windows alike before trotting to what he could verify now as a corpse.

While he searched the body, Rick stepped around the old man, helping him to his feet with one arm and escorting him to the sidewalk where he sat him at the curb.

"Carl you got anything?" He muttered into the comm.

"Confirmed ICC. Agent Patel, city watch division. Seriously messed up."

"How bad?" Rick asked as he looked down upon their detainee as though he already knew the answer.

"He ain't saying much..."

Rick bent his knee, coming down to the man's level. From his vest pocket, he pulled the v-cig and brought it into view. Its design was specific to the shop he bought it from, the body anyway: smooth metal frame with a black finish. Between the mouth peace and the body was a glass cylinder that contained the fluid. In Rick's case it was a vibrant yellow--citrus flavored.

He wanted to say he was diaappointed, confused and sympathetic all at once and this was the only way he could without words. "Why, old man?" He said quietly.

The old man smiled at the sight of the v-cig, and a tear came to his eye. "I was never happier than the day I ordered those into stock," he muttered, avoiding the question for the moment. "I never did like watching young people kill themselves with the original death trap cigarettes...Still, it didn't do as much good as I'd hoped. Regulars still came in for the killers. I guess no matter how hard you try to keep people safe, it's always more comfortable to some of them to stick with what they already know." He looked at Vega, his eyes sad. "If I'd known you were ICC when you bought that, I would have tried hard to be extra polite to you."

He sighed, feeling the heat from the blazing building nearby. "The ICC are everywhere lately, running after some kid who thinks he's a big shot because he has extra strong powers. And when my shop was targeted, of course I got mad. Might as well cause a little chaos before I'm taken to the labs." He had always been a good liar, and this time was no exception.

The cuffs burned slightly as they nullified his powers; it was unnatural to have them stopped like this, and it was painfully obvious the ICC didn't care about the comfort of those restrained by them. But at least they were on him, and not those two hot-headed morons on the roof.

"God damn it," Rick said, thick with grief and running out of things to say.

Very rarely did he hear about people going to the labs, those were the more extrene cases, repeated offenders and such. Mandatorily, all Abnormal detainees had their blood drawn and often times those who were released were tagged with a tracking chip. The same fate was more gracious to those who turned in and submitted to cataloguing. This old man could have avoided losing his shop, and his rights, if only he did the same.

It seemed like a good trade for the imprisonment he was going to face next. "What happened to you isn't right, but this isn't fair to anyone."

Rick finally pushed off the asphalt at the sound of sirens. Fire control was rolling in. On either side of the lead vehicle were two more ICC agents, holding onto the railings and weapons ready in free hands. It was Fireteam Lancer. Once it stopped they dismounted and swept the surroundings before one of them broke formation and jogged his way. By the way she moved, he already knew it was Montes.

"You okay?" She asked, keeping her distance from the suspect. "Where's Grayson?"

Rick waved down the street. "I'm alright, he's that way. I uh...I gotta take this guy in."

Montes pulled her half-mask down past her chin. "Hey. You sure you're alright?"

"Is it that obvious, Lauren?" He grumbled.

There was a short pause between them, finally she patted his arm. "It's okay. Cross and I can take him in."

Rick didn't make eye contact with either her or the detainee, but managed a nod. Changing the subject, he looked at Montes' partner who was still nearby as fire crews were mobilizing outside the burning shop, ever vigilant. "They got you working with the quiet man?"

She rolled her eyes and knelt beside the arrest, placing a a hand under his and helping him stand. "C'mon. Rick," she said as she guided the man toward the patrol car, "I'll see you tonight?"

"We'll see. Take care of him, will you?"

Kit watched in horror as Jackal held her back, tears burned her cheeks and she could feel every inch of her body shaking. She turned to Jackal slowly and whispered, "Get me out of here..." She couldn't take it anymore. She leaned against him and in an instant they were gone, appearing a little ways from the bus stop. They began to walk in silence, Kit kept her head down hiding the tears until she heard a little kid yelling about a bird lady.

She looked up and saw Jess, feathers sticking out of her shirt sleeves.

Jess's head shot up and she cursed herself, just as the mother was turning to look Jess ducked around a corner and shifted all the way into a white dove. hopping out of the way as her backpack fell to the ground. Quickly she took off and flew towards the bus stop so Katana could see her. Then she flew in the direction of home.

Katana looked up with a little sigh of relief when he realized the boy's mother hadn't seen Jess. Watching Jess fly off towards home he smirked a little then he saw Kit and her friend Jackal, "Took you long enough." he muttered as they came to stand next to him. Then his attention shifted to the man Jess had been walking with. Slowly Katana walked over to him and just stood next to him.

After a while he spoke softly, making sure no one could hear. "You like her?" He asked, eyeing the man suspiciously.

Name: Olivia.

Age: 27.

Appearance: Uzumaki.Kushina.full.1609960.jpg

Affiliation: ICC.

Power: N/A.

Other: She's a member of the ICC detective squad, and is extremely good at her job. She's also a mother of four (10 year old son, 4 year old daughter and is 7 months pregnant with twins.) During her last pregnancy, she worked for the ICC up until giving birth, and only had a month's maternity leave afterwards. And she has no intention of stopping her work this time, either. She frequently points out that no one will have their guard up around her. Although she is a Normal, both of her older children have already shown signs of having powers, which she keeps hidden from the rest of the ICC.

The old man allowed himself to be helped to his feet by the third agent. He had spaced out slightly after his conversation with Vega ended, and had barely noticed the sirens or approaching vehicles. Now he saw them, he gave a little smile of relief; hopefully this shop could be saved. After his had been threatened, he had become protective of others, because he knew how it felt to be on the verge of losing a shop.

If only things hadn't had to happen like this; he had been two days away from handing himself in voluntarily. He glanced up at the rooftops again, and saw the other two Abnormals had gone.

"Have you ever seen the cells they lock us in?" he asked the female agent, following her to the car. "Are they comfortable?"

Jackal released Kit's arm the second they appeared around the corner from the bus stop, and followed her in silence, already trying to think of a way to rescue the old man. He was so lost in thought, he didn't even realize the guy he had bumped into earlier was with Kit's room mate, or that a child had almost discovered her power.

Tim watched Jess vanish around the corner, and glanced nervously at the woman and her child. The woman had eyed the dove with a frown, but didn't seem to put two and two together. They were safe. Or so it seemed.

At Katana's words, however, Tim whirled around to face him. "What?" he blurted. "I...she...why would I?" He straightened his glasses and tried to compose himself. "I mean...we just met on the way here. It was a coincidence really, that we were walking the same way. And don't worry, her secret's safe."

Olivia narrowed her eyes at the point where the dove had vanished from sight, and clutched the walkie talkie in her pocket. Doves didn't usually fly around loose in the city, and her daughter had sharp eyes, so this was no coincidence. That foolish girl had used her power in broad daylight, and judging from how she returned to be seen by the others, she wasn't the only one hiding her power. Letting go of the walkie talkie, and pulling out her phone instead, she sent a description of the girl to the agents on patrol, along with the descriptions of those still waiting at the bus stop.

She had almost finished her work, when two more arrived at the bus stop, looking distraught, and smelling strongly of smoke. 'They're just making it easy for me today, aren't they?' she thought, almost sighing with boredom as she added their descriptions. Less than half an hour ago, she had received a report of someone setting fire to a shop down town. These two had been near a fire very recently; probably that same one.

Lauren braced a step before continuing. She would normally say whatever to make the detainee comfortable to keep from raising a fuss, but she saw no point in lying now. Something about putting  this guy under arrest had put Vega in a bad position. "They're solitary rooms, grayish. There's a cot in each and the bars are made of a nullifying alloy. Most don't really mind, but I've heard complaints of a humming sound now and then, or a feeling of their skin being irritated."

She looked over her shoulder once, at that, Cross stepped in front of her to get her attention. She flinched, and as a response, he took the prisoner from her care and had her cover him instead. As usual, she thought with a bitter frown, always no-nonsense.

Looking back at the old man, she shook her head. "I don't know how it's going to look with a murder charge."

Jess got to the apartment and scanned the area but instead of changing back she perched in a shadowy corner of a building where no one could see her and sat their waiting for Kit and Katana to get home. When they got home they would open a window for her so she could fly in without being seen.

Katana chuckled and shook his head, "No I meant like her, powers..." he whispered very softly making absolute sure no one could hear. Out of the corner of his eye he saw the woman who's child had seen Jess typing something very lengthy into her phone, He looked very closely and saw a glimpse pf a description, it looked like it could be of Jess. Rolling his eyes Katana stared at the womans phone andwithen seconds it started getting really hot in her hands and then all of a sudden it burst into flames. As the woman gasped and dropped her phone the bus rolled up and Kit, Katana, Jackal, and Tim all got on, all sitting separately.
When they got to the stop two blocks from Jess, Kit and Katana's apartment Katana got up and off walking is the other direction. Stopping a moment to shoot a glance at Tim.
Then at the stop a block after the apartment Kit and Jackal got off and ran across the street and started walking away from the direction the apartment was in, Jackal would teleport them into the apartment.
It was their classic way to get home without being fallowed or connected.

Ashley glared at the girl. "You best apologize or else, you clumsy freak.." Ashley said harshly, if you let people push you around, it wouldn't ever stop. "so apologize now you little worm... go on!" she yelled at the girl. Ashley stood there impatiently waiting for the girl to apologize.

Castiel looked at the list of people who were up for eradication today, there was nothing that would stop his team from completing it today. He thought about all the bases the ICC had recently taken over, they were getting a lot stronger, but so was he. He needed Harlot to go out and... well gather some more recruits. Harlot had been his second in command since the beginning. For a woman she was a good wing-man.
"Harlot! Come here girl... we need to act now, Code 305. more recruits are needed. ICC are moving in quicker than planned" He informed her, hoping she wouldn't start moaning again and just do as she was told. He wasn't in the mood to use his power on her, it always made him tired.

Rio looked up at her mother. "Mummy, I want wings like that... why can't I fly away with wings?" Rio questioned, starting to get upset about it. She couldn't understand why the big girl was allowed to have wings and she wasn't.

(I'm seeing some pretty wild powers here. Mind control is one of those iffy things that I'm alright with regarding limitation, but being able to kill someone via mind control is a bit over powered. That's just my opinion. If you've consulted the OP though, then I'm okay if she is.)

The old man sighed. "I've lived in worse quarters," he said quietly, as the fourth agent stepped forward. There was something cold about this one, and he fell silent.

That was right, he had murdered someone. He could still feel the man's blood on his left hand, which had transformed into sharp steel and slit his throat. It was the first time he had acted out violently, and he knew, even if he had done it to protect his comrades, that he deserved to be punished for what he had done. Compared to murder, a little arson and dummy vandalism was nothing.

"Apologize to that man's family for me," he called out as he got into the back of the patrol car.

Olivia had just finished the descriptions, and was about to send the message to Vega, when her phone suddenly grew hot in her hands, and burst into flames. She let out a small gasp and dropped it, jumping back from where it landed, with one hand on Rio's shoulder, pulling her back with her. Rio was still whining about the 'bird lady', but Olivia ignored her, watching the group of Abnormals climb aboard the bus.

They had just proved their guilt. She just wished she knew which one had been responsible. She decided to climb aboard the bus with them. "Come on Rio," she said in a stern, yet gentle voice.

When it was their turn to get off the bus, Jackal turned to Kit when he caught up with her. "Was that you or your brother?" he asked, referring to the incident with the phone.

He didn't really feel like going to their house, but he had to make sure Kit got back safely, and teleporting her there was the only way at the moment. Afterwards, he planned to infiltrate an ICC headquarters and find a way to rescue the old man. Hopefully it would be a little while before they locked him up.

Tim remained on the bus, staring out of the window with his chin resting in the palm of his hand. He was still cursing himself for his response to Katana's question. When he reached his stop, he got off, giving Rio a small smile as he passed her and her mother.

He made his way to his apartment, still thinking over his encounter with Jess.

Kammy rolled her eyes, and made sure the two men were really gone. "You should be thanking me, idiot," she said, repeating the word idiot with emphasis. "I just saved you from being nabbed by the ICC, and you're too stupid to even notice. How about you grow a pair of eyes so people don't have to keep saving your ass." She stuck her tongue out at Ashley, and marched away from the college doors.

Harlot yawned and drummed her long fingernails on the desk in front of her. She didn't get to her feet when Castiel spoke, but merely glanced up at him with a bored look in her eyes. "I got you seven new recruits yesterday," she reminded him. "Did you use them up already? Honestly, what kind of leader just allows their pawns to walk to their deaths, it's a wonder we still have any left."

If she had been the leader, she would have led the gang to the ICC's main headquarters in Russia, by now. But no, she was stuck doing the bidding of this snot nosed little brat, all because he had more power than her. If she tried to control his mind, he would cancel it out with his own, stronger powers of manipulation. If she tried to stab him in the back, he would torture her. And if she tried to refuse his orders, he would plot out the exact circumstances of her death, and make damn well sure it happened.

One day she would make this boy kneel before her, but right now, she had to go get him more toys to throw at the ICC. She got to her feet, and, glaring at her leader, skulked over to the wall to grab her coat.

{That's one of the reasons why he must die at the end of this one. XD Otherwise he'll mow through Thomas and the animals and it will be no fun.}

Rio looked at her mum. "But mummy... I want wings like the big girl. Why don't I have wings. I have such a boring life." she complained and wined and cried a little as she was taken on the bus by her mother. When they were on the bus she realised her mother was not going to answer her so gave up and resonated to looking out of the window.

Ashley looked annoyed with Kammy, to everyone else, Ashley had no reason to be worried about the ICC so why would Kammy care? She just flipped her off as she walked away and stormed off to her first lecture of the day. She couldn't be bothered with people today and sat right at the back of the classroom waiting for the teacher to arrive, whom was late per usual.

Kyran went into the boiler room as the others came out, and tested the boiler and it worked and ran like a dream. He smiled to himself, and left the boiler room. "Nice job boys, lets go then I'm guessing?" He asked the foreman before joining his buddies in the group.

Castiel shook his head. "Harlot, will there ever be a day where you don't question me?" He asked raising an eyebrow. He was about to raise his voice and ask her again, but she headed to get her coat. "Also Harlot, it's not my fault the recruits you have been bringing me just seem to fail... Besides, Code 609 Alpha plan 2, will hit second stage, we should be heading for ICC HQ within months... I want to be prepared." He added, and gave her a look that told her he was being serious about this. He sighed heavily, he hated the underground HQ and how the ICC just seemed to flaunt themselves everywhere... he would be higher than them, he would eradicate them before his time was up. He would make sure of that.

Katana walked around a little bit and then finally went into the apartment building, but he went in the back way and took the stairs instead of the elevator. the elevator had cameras the stairs did not. When he got to their door he quickly and quietly unlocked in and went in, going straight to the window in Jess and Kits room and opening it a little.

Jess saw the window open and quickly looked around and then flew in changing back as soon as she hit the floor. Quickly she got dressed and went out into the small living room and sat with Katana who was filling out some paperwork. "Sorry for all the trouble I caused today..."

Katana, not even looking up from the papers lifted his hand and then dropped it of Jess's head ruffling her hair a bit. "Its fine." He said glancing up and her and smiling.

Kit sighed and grumbled, "Both of us. You know that weird thing... oh whats it called...." She paused and shrugged and then grabbed Jackals arm and he transported them to her home. As soon as they got there she remembered what she had been trying to say.

"Twinlepithy!!!" she shouted. "You know, when twins can tell whats going on with the other. Well when ever Katana uses his powers my hands get really hot."

Katana looked up at Kit and Jackal and sighed. "And when she uses hers I feel my brain cells dying." He rolled his eyes and went back to his paperwork.

Some hour after their arrest, Vega and Grayson were finally dismissed from the scene after the fire was put under control, local police mobilizing to secure the site. After seeing the old man get carted off by Montes and Cross, he knew he wasn't going to be feeling the same about this state of emergency they were in. It felt as though the situation was creeping more and more toward a real conflict as time went on. The new system wasn't being well accepted, and after today Rick began to question whether or not it was fair. Hell, would the ICC's recommended sanctions work at all?

They couldn't have total reign over the situation, not without international approval. They had the resources and the financial backing for their private army, but without the world of governments' blessing they couldn't go full swing. For the time being, they were little more than well-numbered, over-equipped police.

Having formerly been on SWAT, Vega had no problem with this, but then the bullshit truth sank in and he found himself staring out the window of their SUV as he, Grayson, and two other agents were driving back to their headquarters.

Carl's voice broke the silence first, muffled by his mask. That was one thing the two shared in common; neither wanted to remove their headwear until after they arrived at the HQ. Grayson once said that if the ICC would let him wear his kit home with him he would. Talk about paranoia.

"You haven't said anything since we left," he said. "C'mon, talk."

Rick shook his head, buyinh himself time to find the words he was looking for. "That old man didn't deserve that."

"He killed an agent and nearly burned down building."

"I know, it's just the circumstances that hot him there, I mean. Should've been us taking him in too, not Lancer."

Focusing on driving, Carl took a moment to flick the turn signal and round the intersection before speaking. "Doll's good at talking to people."

"I'm not talking about Montes," Vega said, laying his arm to his lap. "That stiff she's working with, the new guy. Cross."

"Oh. Yeah, I don't know what his deal is. I met another guy who joined the ICC with him after serving in the same Marine FORECON squad. Sam was his name--good guy. But even he doesn't really know."

Rick's gaze drifted back to the passing scenery. Is that what they really wanted, faceless troops that followed orders without question? "Company man," he said.

"Yeah. Total bitches, right?"

{Sorry for the late reply. I have been busy. I could have posted last night but it would have sucked because tired. }

Jackal wordlessly prized himself from Kit's grip and pulled a cigarette from his pocket. "I'm on Katana's side with this one," he muttered. "Twinlepathy isn't real."
He turned his attention to Katana, his eyes slightly narrowed. "I know you two wouldn't have done it without good reason, but that woman at the bus stop was pregnant...Besides it would have been safer to make the phone look like it overheated instead of blowing it up." Placing the cigarette in his mouth, but not lighting it just yet, he glanced lazily at all three of them. "You haven't stopped whatever it was she was going to do, but you have made damn well sure her suspicions were correct. Our descriptions are as good as in the ICC's hands." It was annoying, but it seemed he was going to have to get Katana and Jess into the Oppugnant, for their own safety. Right now though, he had more important things to do. He had to leave without Kit figuring out hr intended to help the old man, which was easier said than done. She usually forced him to stay for over an hour.

"Even the most pathetic dog will be useful if trained properly," Harlot said as she fastened up her coat. "And it's about time."
She stormed out of the room, letting the door slam behind her. The corridor was completely deserted at this time, since those who weren't already out were either training or resting from staying up all night, and as she walked, her high heels made a satisfying clopping sound. The ICC were so busy snooping around above ground that they hadn't even begun to search the old underground railway lines, which had been closed ten years earlier due to the brand new, high tech railway system. And since then, Castiel had converted them into headquarters. It was a recent job, so it was still unfinished, but Harlot liked it the way it was.
When she reached the surface, she scanned the area to make sure she was alone, then began to head in the direction of the college. That was where the last batch of pawns came from, since teenagers were particularly easy to manipulate. She barely even needed to use her powers.

Once all of the suspicious people had left the bus, Olivia pulled out a notebook and began writing down the details of all of their movements, , including their appearances, the stops each had alighted at, and the direction they had gone afterwards.
It was an easy task to ignore Rio's complaints, and she was almost grateful for them. It was hard to look suspicious with a child whining in your ear.
"Hush," she said finally once they reached their stop. "You have to be quiet now. You're not supposed to come to work with me, and they'll make you stand outside if you misbehave."
She sighed, put away her notebook and took Rio's hand.If Rio hadn't decided she was 'too ill' to go to her playgroup that morning, she wouldn't have had to drag her all the way down here. Hopefully this would cure her curiosity.

{Sorry if there's spelling mistakes. The phone won't let me check.}

Vega and Carl were winding down in the rec room of their station, armor neatly set aside and weapons secured not too far away. While Grayson clicked and clacked away at his gaming controller, massacring faceless baddies in a first person shooter, Vega kept to himself, twirling his v-cig between his fingers, occasionally taking a drag.

Nicotine and tobacco free, he didn't get a buzz from it. In fact, with its sweet aroma it was quite relaxing. Gradually, the vapors would haze the room, but clear out in half the time that it took cigarette smoke. Even still, Carl had his gripes.

"That can't be any better the real thing," he said.

Rick pulled the cig away from his mouth then breathed out in a long sigh. "There are worse things. You know, like lung cancer."

"Whatever."

Ashley had blanked out most of her class, trying to think why people would be following her, and why the girl had caused such a scene earlier. She was confused, most of the time if someone knocked into someone they just mumbled an apology and walked on. Ashley looked around to see if the girl from earlier was in her class, but she wasn't. She hoped she'd see her in the cafeteria because she wanted to know why she had caused a scene.

Kyran had been quiet, listening to what the boys were talking about. Usually about football, the price of trains these days, and hot chicks. Normal banter floated around the bus on their way back to the office. Business was slow these days, Kyran hoped he'd be given the rest of the day off so he could go for a walk into the town. He hadn't been into the city centre for a while.

Castiel sighed as Harlot snapped back. "Harlot.. don't start" he just dismissed it and then when she said it was about time he rolled his eyes and waited for her to walk off. When he could only just hear her shoes clicking on the floor he made her slap her own face and chuckled to himself and pulled out the plans to make sure nothing had been missed or overlooked.
