At the corner Kit stopped and looked at them smiling, unknown to them she had heard their conversation, but would never let them know that, she waited scilently for the two of them to catch up. "Where?" She asked softly her voice a faint whisper. She wanted to know where the two of them wanted to eat.

"If they are worthy of her and make her happy, then I'd be happy too Kat. Her happiness is more important than how I feel." Kyle whispered back hoping Kit couldn't hear what had been said.
When they caught up with Kit and she asked where, Kyle hadn't thought about it. He couldn't shake off what Kat had said. "Where would you like to eat?" He asked Kit.

When the door was closed Jess sighed slouching a little. " I hate this part..." She said softly looking over at Lucia who had the same look in her eyes.
They went back to their rooms and got ready for bed.
Kyle, Kit, and Katana all sat quietly eating their food. Suddenly the owner of the shop came over to them and set a bowl of pink heart shaped candies in front of Kit. He smiled at the look on their faces, "My new deserts, they are strawberry flavored, your the first to try them. Don't worry they are on the house." He smiled bowed his head and then turned and walked away.
Kit smiled and took one of the candies and nibbled on it, it did taste like strawberry!

Wednesday had gotten home just as the sun began to set hiding 2 of her top envelopes and handed the pay and tips to her mother who kissed her cheek applauded her and told her, there was some food in the oven for her.. recently her mother and father had become distant from her and she paid her keep. She'd began saving up the odd tips and dress making money so she'd be able to move out soon.
Kyle ate his food in silence trying not to make eye contact with Kit, he felt strange inside and didn't know how to shake it off. When the owner brought over the candy he smiled and thanked him. Taking one from the bowl and enjoying it , even though he didn't usually like strawberry flavoured things.

Once Kit had finished her soup she and Kyle stood and after paying for the meal left saying goodbye to the shop owner and started walking back to the apartment.
As they walked home Kit looped her arm in Kyle's and smiled skipping next to him.

Kit nudged Kyle and smiled up at him, he had a funny look on his face and she wanted to know why. Slowly she reached up and poked his cheek with her finger smiling sweetly at the look he gave her.
Jess was having trouble sleeping and decided to go for a walk in the big garden they had behind their house. As she walked she thought she heard foot steps, she looked around worried someone would see her outside in her night gown. Quickly she ducked behind a bush her breathing a little heavy.
{Sorry its so short.}

Kit looked at Kyle and smiled slipping off her shoes as she walked into her room out of the corner of her eye she saw him looking at her. She smiled and waved at him but when he didn't wave back she tilted her head confused. She walked over to him and sat on the floor in front of him a soft, "What?..." Escaping her lips. She hated when he or Katana didn't know what she meant and it forced her to talk, Katana had gotten good at understanding her but not Kyle. He understood her most of the time though.

Kit stared at their hands and her cheeks turned bright red. Quickly as he spoke she cut him off by kissing his cheek and then smiled at how red he got and she put her face close to his so he couldn't hide it and looked him straight in the eyes and nodded saying very clearly, "What is it?"
Katana had told her that Kyle liked her when they were younger but she always waited for him to make the first move incase his feelings changed. Maybe that was a mistake, she thought about the possibilities, What if he doesn't care anymore.... Then what? I should have told him! As she thought her eyes grew sadder and her face grew red quickly she shook the look away and smiled softly back up at him.

"No matter what, you have to promise me you won't waste your feelings on me... You deserve better and I'm not worthy of you Kit" Kyle said holding back the tears that threatened to well up in his eyes. He wasnt doing it to hurt her, but for her own good. Kyle's insides sank and it was a lot harder for him to say than he thought it would have been.

Kit was a little shocked at Kyle's words, she didn't Know what to do, nonetheless say. Tears welling up in her eyes all she could think to do was pull down her bottom lip where the word Perfect was burnt into her skin. thats why she never spoke. When she was a child it was burnt into the inner skin of her lip, she didn't want to risk people seeing it when she spoke, no one but Katana knew, until now. She quickly stood up and walked to her room closing the door behind her and sat on the window sill crying quietly.

Kit fell asleep in her windowsill.
As Jess sat behind the bush she heard nothing else and decided it was probably just the wind. She stood slowly and walked quietly to the little shed at the back of the garden and went inside, taking out a basket and a pair of small stem cutters. She began to walk around the garden again a small piece of paper with a list of plants and what parts of them she needed to get. She found the ment plant and clipped off a few leaves then went over to the daises and carefully plucked the petals from three of them and put them in a little glass jar. She then started to make her way over to the roses. She needed six flowers, the roses were so big and beautiful it was almost a shame as she began to clip the heads off of them.

History: His parents were obsessed with perfection, and they decided to rely on their son to get them out of poverty. He spent most of his childhood having perfection drilled into him, until he was broken by the fear of being forced into the tournaments. When he was eight years old, his parents went too far, and he was pushed down a flight of stairs, injuring his spine. No longer 'perfect', his parents abandoned him. He was later adopted by an Upper Class family.
Other: He was adopted By Lucia's mother and Jess's father.
The mines were the last place anyone wanted to be two days before the parade; there was a high risk of injury, and the smell was one that was not washed off easily. It would be all too easy to offend someone on the big day, just by standing in the crowd, and end up fighting to the death.
Jack didn't care, though. As far as he was concerned, to hell with the parade. He avoided it when he could, and when he did attend, he stood glaring, daring the authorities to take him again. He would just come out stronger like last time.
It was almost morning now, and Jack let out an exhausted sigh of relief, letting go of the coal-filled wheelbarrow in front of him, and wiping his forehead. Out of the corner of his eye, he could see Katana setting down his equipment, and couldn't help noticing how smudged his eye looked.
"Nice cover up," he remarked. "I guess I won't be able to tell you and your sister apart any more."
Tim was always up just before dawn. It was just the way he had always been. And now he had a job, he had something to do when he woke up so early. He pulled the small sheet off paper on which Mrs. Sterling had written the address, and was on his way to the huge, elegant looking houses. He never dreamed he would get to see the inside of their gardens.
"There'll be species of plants so exotic I've never even heard of them!" he said to himself as he flung open the gate. "There's a hydrangea bush! And a mint plant! Oh and-" He stopped, staring at the headless roses, and his attitude changed. He pushed his glasses up onto his nose impatiently. "Who would do such a thing?" he asked, as though he was witnessing a horrific crime.

Katana was exhausted and didn't really care to listen to anything Jack had to say, but when he realise Jack had noticed the makeup Kit had put on him earlier that night his face instantly grew bright red. He wiped his face quickly but when he heard Jack mention his sister Katana froze then whorled around to look Jack straight in the eye inches from him. "Don't you ever talk about my sister. Got it?..." He growled and then slowly turned and grabbed his things and headed to the lift.
Jess jumped when she heard a voice, she quickly looked away from where she was up in a tree trying to get a perfectly red apple and slipped falling flat on her back.
"OUWW!!" She breathed rubbing her head as she sat up. then she remembered what had caused her to fall and she shot up to her feet, a little to quickly and got light headed. She put her hand to her head trying to stop seeing dots and softly muttered, "Who...." She cleared her throat and stood up straight, "Who the hell are you?" She asked her voice not wavering. She glared at the boy but the her attention was torn from him to her basket which was scattered all over the ground. She groaned and knelt to pick up everything, sighing she threw crushed plants at the boy. "Look at what you made me do! You stupid boy! Do you know how long it takes a rose to grow to it's full maturity?? I would expect not! and what about an apple?" She threw the bruised apple at him and then just sat there on her knees muttering to herself. "I'll have to start all over again..." She muttered half to herself.

The smirk faded from Jack's face, and he blocked Katana's path at the door to the lift. With one hand, he leant against the wall, and with the other, he pointed directly at Katana's chest. "I'm not done," he said, ignoring the small queue forming behind Katana. "I wanted to talk to you about your sister, actually. Last year, she didn't do a very good job patching up my parade clothes, and I'm sure you know how dangerous that is. She's been catering to those rich snobs who could afford to be taken down a few pegs, but couldn't spare a few extra hours to help out her own kind. I don't have any money to pay, but I'm sure what I paid last year will be more than enough; and if you're not happy with that, the safety of your loaded clients seems like a fair price."
He stepped aside, allowing the lift doors to open.
Tim heard a crash, and a cry of pain, and spun around quickly to see a furious girl glaring back at him. "Oh...I-" he began to explain himself, hastily pulling out a letter of his job description and dropping a bag of seeds in the process.
While he attempted to regain his composure, he found himself being pelted with dried petals.
"Wait a minute! Ow!" The apple bounced off his arm, causing him to drop the letter. "I'm here because-"
A loud twanging noise interrupted, and he was struck between the eyes by a small, hard projectile, which turned out to be a marble. He stumbled backwards, landing in the mutilated rose bush.
A downstairs window creaked open slightly, and two turquoise eyes, half hidden behind a curtain of golden hair peeked out. "Dead?" asked a small, whispering voice.
