Name: Futago Lionheart.
Age: 15.

State: Witch.
Biggest secret: Besides being a witch, he loves to cause other living beings pain.
Other: He has no soul.
History of twins: In the womb, Futa drained nutrients from Gem, stunting his growth, and almost killing him. When the twins were born two months premature, Futa appeared to be a normal, healthy, full term baby, but Gem was far too small, even for a premature baby. It didn't seem as though he would make it.
Luckily, both twins managed to survive. But it wasn't long before Berinda began to notice Futa's odd behaviour. She may have overlooked the fact that his hair was black, and his eyes blood red, if it wasn't for the way in which he treated his brother. Scratches would appear on Gem's body whenever the two were left alone. Objects in the house also began to move, or disappear completely. And then there was the crying. Futa cried non stop throughout the night, whereas Gem managed to sleep through.
As they grew, the two seemed to bond, Gem taking it upon himself to appease his brother whenever he fell into a tantrum, earning himself frequent scratches. It became apparent 'what' Futa was, when the twins turned five. But, loving both of her children, Berinda's immediate response was to make sure no one else ever found out. It wasn't long before Gem began to grow jealous of Futa's power.
The two help their mother by picking herbs for the shop, and mixing some of the medicines.
-------------------------------------------
Berinda was up at dawn as usual, setting up the shop for the day's customers. She cursed as she checked the stock, glaring impatiently out of the window. They were running low on some ingredients, and her sons, who had been sent to get them, still hadn't returned.
"They know not to keep the customers waiting," she grumbled, as the first customer of the day entered, a stooped, fragile looking old man.
It wasn't real magic, of course, but the thought behind a 'good luck' charm had to count for something. That was what Gem thought as he approached Maranda's doorstep. The last 'good luck charm' certainly would have died by now. He put the lily down on the doorstep, glancing around to make sure no one was watching, then turned on his heel, and scurried back to the street.
(Gomen, that post is terrible but it's seven in the morning now. I muuuust sleep.)
