Behind her fake smile,
is a whole other world.
Where each new day,
a new pain is unfurled.
And deep in the valleys, so dark and cold,
hides a little girl, no more than five years old.
"I'm hiding from my daddy, he took mommy away,
and when he came back he said it was my turn today!" she cries through all the tears.
You hold her close, telling her it'll all be okay,
trying to erase her fears.
Suddenly she screams out, "No!
You're wrong, he'll take me away, too!
You know it,
and I know it,
because I am you, too!"
And it all comes flooding back to you,
you see him putting the gun to your head.
But you're only five, what can you do?!?!
*BANG* Too late, you're dead...
but it's okay because now you're flying way up in the sky,
and you remember your last thought was: At least I'll see mommy if I die...
