Well..

I'm From Holland, and i have PDDNOS hat is something in your head, but its not sick ore a handicap, But its something in personality ore something.

and my mom really thinks that i'm different because of that, and i know that it is not like that, if i didn't have pddnos, i was me to.

So..how can i prove that how i am is not something what i got because of pddnos, but just..because i really like it, and it is just good and all that shit.

I really hate it when she sais ''ooh, that is because pddnos..''

Pervasive Developmental Disorder - Not Otherwise Specified.

Basically the Diet Coke version of autism.

Your friendly neighbourhood Rellik San is here to help.

Essentially she's tired of her mother assuming her societal differentials are caused by a minor personality disorder as opposed to it just being her personality.

And I'm afaid I can't help you with that. I don't have the power to change what your mum thinks about your behaivour-and I'm not sure what you can do to convince her otherwise either.
Good luck though biggrin.gif

Tell her that, essentially, PDDNOS is just a facet of your personality, even if the disorder is slightly unusual. Tell her that many people don't consider PDDNOS to be a disorder as opposed to "a different way of being". It's irrelevant if a decision you make is influenced by the disorder, because it's simply a part of you, and not necessarily a negative aspect.
If she's not homophobic, you could use homosexuality as an analogy. Tell her that homosexuality was once considered a disorder, but now it's simply another way of being. Suggest to her that the same could apply to PDDNOS.
